Re: [Flexradio] Flex 1500 VLF transnit converter problems

2011-08-28 Thread Andrew Russell

Thanks Tim,
VFO A is unlocked if I use the XVTX\COM port for Tx. VFO B is restricted to the
ham bands on the same port. 2200M is now available to all VK advanced calls at
1W ERP.
The transverter form doesn't seem to work without an Rx converter. I made one
called "137" with 4MHz LO. Band 135-138KHz. Rx is on 4.137 but no Tx output.
I could use a low side IF but that reverses side bands etc and makes me dizzy.
Or I could change to a 10MHz LO but frequency accuracy is harder. (Unless I use
my 10MHz TCXO from another project).
Its bad luck that the F1500 has no usefull output on XVTX\COM at 137KHz. It
cuts out below about 495KHz.
Andrew

Andrew,

For the TX to be unlocked on the transverter ports and to transmit, you
have to be operating in transverter mode using the transverter form to
define the band of operation. I don't think it will work as you have
described. I'll need to talk with the development team on Monday to be
certain.

Hello all.I have just built a transmit (only) converter for 137kHz with a 4MHz LO. I am
receiving on VFO A on PA or XVRX at 137KHz with a band pass filter and trying to transmit
on VFO B at 4.137MHz on XVTX/COM into the transverter. The TX and RX antennas are not the
same.It will not transmit on the VFO B frequency on the transverter port. "Out of
Band"It will work for VFO A on 4.137MHz on the XVTX/COM port with PTT and with the
tune button.I tried setting up a transverter button with 4MHz LO but although PSDR
displays the correct frequency there is no output at 4.137 on the XVTX/COM port when I
key the transmitter. Is there something in the manual I am missing? Andrew(PSDR 2.2.2, W7,
