Re: [Flexradio] Satellite software for flex
Tim, you mean a satellite mode that emulates the TS2000 Satellite mode? Cause I believe MacDoppler uses that mode. Guess I need to check out SatPc32... gotta learn more about how it works anyway. Or maybe I need to put up a better HF antenna... the flex is screaming for one! Thanks for your help! Mike, WB8CXO On 12/28/2010 11:45 AM, Tim Ellison wrote: "When I go into transmit RX1 is muted." Re: [Flexradio] Satellite software for flex
Mike, You wrote, "When I go into transmit RX1 is muted". Go to the setup form in PowerSDR & select the "Genera" & "RX2" tabs. Uncheck the "Auto Mute RX1 on VFO B TX" check box. You do not need to uninstall PowerSDR. All you need to do is delete the database file. It is located in your application data folder. Unfortunately, by Windows default, this is a hidden folder. Open Windows Explorer and type the following into the address bar: "%APPDATA%\FlexRadio Systems\PowerSDR v2.0.16" (no quotes). This is assuming you are using PowerSDR v2.0.16. If not, simply replace "v2.0.16" with the correct version number. Then, delete the file named "database.xml". 73, Ray, K9DUR http://k9dur.info ___ FlexRadio Systems Mailing List FlexRadio@flex-radio.biz http://mail.flex-radio.biz/mailman/listinfo/flexradio_flex-radio.biz Archives: http://www.mail-archive.com/flexradio%40flex-radio.biz/ Knowledge Base: http://kc.flexradio.com/ Homepage: http://www.flexradio.com/
Re: [Flexradio] Satellite software for flex
For the record I've not yet added the v/u module which is exactly why I posed the question. Can I move my 847 to my summer cottage or should I not risk that and purchase a ts2000 while the prices are good. I suspect that it may be a while before the software developers will support flex radios. I hope I'm wrong. Maybe that will happen when the Mac os is developed for flex. Re: [Flexradio] Satellite software for flex
No, you have to "emulate" a Kenwood TX-2000. I seriously doubt they will support PowerSDR CAT unless someone has some major influence with the developers. Also, PowerSDR does not have a "satellite mode" yet, so you have to be a bit careful how you set up CAT for the Doppler correction/CAT software. I have been using the W6IHG RadioTuner and SatPC32 for listening so far. I have a little work to do on my UHF antennas. I have been able to decode the X.25 APRS birds using the software TNC in MixW with the AGEPE "middleware" to talk to UISS. -Tim -Original Message- From: flexradio-boun...@flex-radio.biz [mailto:flexradio-boun...@flex-radio.biz] On Behalf Of Richard Lawn Sent: Tuesday, December 28, 2010 9:52 AM To: flexradio@flex-radio.biz Subject: [Flexradio] Satellite software for flex Just curious if any who have upgraded their flex 5k with the v/u modules are using their radios to work the birds?
