Re: [Flightgear-devel] 3D model for the F-15
Yes I know you have the whole Airbus family cooking, and I am still commited to making the 3D cockpit for the A340. It is just that I had this A340-500 model sleeping on my hard drive for a few years now and I thought I might finish it altogether (no harm intended to your work) Here is the progress so far : http://sfp1.site.voila.fr/flightgear/340_500.png As I mentionned in another post, I still think we need a Flight Management System simulation in flightgear if we want to model correctly modern airliners. If there is a project going on or if some people are interested in creating it, I am eager to start working on it. Also in my huge list of things to do for flightgear is a mathematical model of turbojets for JSBSim... So far I have a compressor ;o) Message du 30/09/06 à 03h31 De : Ampere K. [Flightgear-devel] obj-ac via Ruby...
Can anyone explain why my converted obj file (at http://www.static-lift.net/cube.ac.zip ) causes a segmentation fault in FlightGear? It also causes the demo version of AC3D to seg but for the life of me I can't see why. I don't get any errors using .ac files that are exported from Blender. This is a simple triangulated cube. The verts may be listed in the wrong order but I'd think that would just give me a mish-mash of triangles in FG, not a seg fault. [Flightgear-devel] ch53e
Hi Josh, I am working on your ch53e to make use of the new features of the heli FDM. Do you know the airfoil (particular of the main rotor) and/or do you have lift/drag curves for it? One parameter (rellenflaphinge, the length from rotor center to the flapping hinge divided by the length of one blade) of the main rotor seems to be unrealistic. I do not have a drawing of the rotor head, therefore I guessed a smaller value. Please find enclosed a diff for the ch53, with the airfoil parameters of the bo and the smaller rellenflaphinge. [Flightgear-devel] Airport Parking
Hi, Thanx to Durk's tutorial about ground network, I created a few parking runwayuse.xml files but I have a few questions: 1. Is there any documentation about default.approach, default.ground, airportID.taxi files? 2. README.scenery explains the usage of OBJECT_SIGN. Is there any airport in the 0.9.10 scenery using that option? I am not sure how to use this option, so I'd like to see an airport with taxiway signs. Should OBJECT_SIGN be put in airportID.btg.gz file or somewhere else? Regars, Darko T. P.S. While I was creating these files, I noticed that it would be nice to equippe FG with option Parking, something like this fgfs --airport=airportID --parking=C3. Parking names (latitudes, longitudes and headings) are stored in /Airport/AI/AirportID/parking.xml. - Take Surveys. Earn Cash.
