dev/implement.html is a short writeup of the then plans for FOP
HEAD. When you see layout managers mentioned, it is about FOP HEAD.

design/index.html is Keiron Liddle and Karen Lease's documentation at
the start of the work on FOP HEAD. Much of it is still relevant.

I am glad it helped you. I wrote it previous winter, and have not
documented the changes of last summer. During that time Glen
restructured the top level of FOP. Finn restructured the properties
part.

You are welcome to contribute to the documentation, both making it up
to date again, and filling the gaps. I am about to rebuild my
system. After it is up and running again, I will have a look at your
contributions.

A few weeks ago I published some updates to the documentation on the
wiki, see
http://wiki.apache.org/xmlgraphics-fop/FOPImplementationNotes.

Always welcome!!!

Hopp Schwiiz! :-)

Mostly general FOP development info, but the design part is about FOP
CVS HEAD aka 1.0dev aka redesign.

I'll let Simon answer that.

FOPProjectTasks is awfully out of date, but FOPWorkEstimates is
up-to-date. I'm working on that task list ATM. Feel free to update
FOPProjectTasks.

not to my knowledge, except the XSL spec, of course. :-)

Actually, there's not much to do there. The FOP and Batik sites stay
where they are for the moment but may eventually move over under
xmlgraphics.apache.org. Actually, it wouldn't be so bad if they did as
long as we can do a proper redirection for people with bookmarks.

> what about rtf-rendering? is peter herweg still active on it?

I'm afraid not. I've done a few things during the last months but
haven't got much time for that part right now. But I'll get back to this
part eventually.

We are, too. Tell us what you're interested in. A relatively easy thing
to start with (if you like data formats) is to work on the PostScript
and Java2D/AWT renderers. Or else, just pick something from a todo list
and start hacking and sending patches against CVS HEAD.

So far so good. Just ask if you need help.

would be pleased to contribute.

- i believe in open-source and wish to contribute to a project

- xml.apache.org/fop/dev: this documentation refers to 0.20, right?
- cvs/... /xdocs/DnI: simon, thanks a lot for your xdoc DnI, it really
helped me diving into the code. some parts of it have changed. i
