Re: Allen Bradley Simulator

2000-09-27 Thread Winston Jenks

Freddy,

Rockwell has an emulator for the SLC500 series. See the product data sheet
at http://www.software.rockwell.com/rslogix-emu500/

I have used the Emulate 5 product which emulates a PLC/5. It has a neat
feature of using your PC's serial port as Channel 0 DF1 protocol. This
allows you to communicate to the emulated PLC with a serial connection as
if you had a -KF2 Quite handy if you ask me, especially if you are trying
to work out your gateway points.

BTW, our simulator talks to the emulated PLC.

RE: Allen Bradley Simulator

I do not know of a slc5/04 emulator, but you can run softlogix on a PC
and that will be equivalent to a PLC 5/80 E.

2000-09-27 Thread Lawrence Lambon

I dont know specifically about the SLC-5/04 but a company called ESSCOR has
at least 1 AB emulator (called ABSIM I think) and would be a good place to
start. The web address is www.esscor.com. Hope this helps.
