Windows 7 and FM 9p255 marital problems and issues with selecting and saving files
Windows 7 with all relevant updates. 4 Gigabytes Ram 8 hard drives partitioned over 2 terrabytes I have been using FM since version 6 and earn my keep with this super program. However, I must agree with Norton which says FM is slightly unstable, few users. I have done all the normal checks, viz . Chkdsk c:/f on all drives sfc /scannow using elevated prompt full memory check saving files as .mif running FM without any other applications open or other files. Still, the program crashes perhaps three times a day It even crashes without any mouse or keyboard input. From the event viewer. Hi Rob, The first thing to do is to make sure you have the latest FrameMaker 9 patch. Choose Help Updates and see if you need a patch.
