Try asking the seller to measure the mount for you. On Mon, Sep 10, 2012 at 12:03 AM, Julia julianimhu...@rocketmail.comwrote: The lens is for a JK optical printer. [Frameworks] Exper film/ art MA in the UK?
Hi all! I make experimental films and am considering doing an MA somewhere in the UK. Any recommendations? I know Kingston does a experimental film MA. Of course there are plenty of fine art courses but I don't know which ones are better for that kind of work. I have a 1st class Fine Art (media) BA from the Slade. [Frameworks] 50mm EL-Nikkor for JK Optical Printer

Thanks for the eBay link, too. much obliged, Julie Yes, the 50mm EL-Nikkor lenses have an M39 thread and will fit the adaptor on the JK bellows (I've got a K-104 optical printer and previously owned a K-103). Any 50mm EL-Nikkor with an M39 thread will work.___ FrameWorks mailing list FrameWorks@jonasmekasfilms.com https://mailman-mail5.webfaction.com/listinfo/frameworks
Re: [Frameworks] Exper film/ art MA in the UK?
Hi, You could take a look at the Film Directing MA/MFA at Edinburgh - the Edinburgh College of Art has recently merged into the University, which is fairly high in international rankings. I'm doing a PhD there in Creative Music Practice, but my studies involve animation, and the people I've met in the film-making area all seem quite driven and engaged in interesting projects. I did the sound design for one student there, which was short-listed for a Scottish BAFTA for new entrants into the field. There are more details at http://www.ed.ac.uk/schools-departments/edinburgh-college-art/graduate-school/taughtdegrees/ma-mfa-filmdirect/overview Cheers, Andy On 10/09/2012 10:11, Veronica Ibarra wrote: Hi all! Check UCA its the former Maidstone course which has now moved to Canterbury. I'd like to recommend the MA at Falmouth but we only have digital video sound. Also, I imagine you've come across this, but since it wasn't in your list, Owen Land/George Landow's Film in Which There Appear Edge Lettering, Sprocket Holes, Dirt Particles, Etc. is nothing but a short stretch of leader featuring a China girl. ... Here are some more films that deal with leader as a foregrounded subject or device of sorts: Leader, Cross Cut - A Blue Movie and Red Stockings by Robert Huot Colorfilm by Standish Lawder Report and Ten Second Film by Bruce Conner Standard Gauge and Cue Rolls by Morgan Fisher Plenty of filmmakers have used bits of leaders here and there in there films as formal devices, or for some other effect. Pat O'Neill has a bit in some of his films, like Runs Good. Brakhage did it a ton, but not really for a leader-as-leader effect, rather he used clear and color leaders for their specific color properties. Scenes From Under Childhood is loaded with colored plastic leader. Robert Nelson did it a lot, but no one of his films really focuses on leader itself as the subject. I'd probably say leaders have their most significant use in his film Suite California Stops Passes Part 1. Girls on Film by Julie and Karin is also a 35mm short film, deriving from the photo exhibit they created. Genevieve Yue has been researching china girls, and has put together a program of china girl related films at Anthology for sometime this Fall. I could list some of them, but you'd have a more definitive list when her program is printed, presumably soon.
