Re: [Frameworks] Showchron editor

Todd,
Thanks for your response. I received a PDF of the manual earlier today. This
list is a really good resource.
I am trying to decide if it is reasonable to turn the editor into a film to
video transfer device.

Re: [Frameworks] film scanner

2018-02-10 Thread Dan Anderson
This is an old threat, but wanted to mention that in the past year or so
I've actually used the Wolverine film scanner quite a bit.. So felt bad for
panning it so bad a year ago.. It's not perfect, but cheap and probably
better results than the old "off the wall" scheme..

Here's a short "commercial" I did with footage scanned with a Wolverine,
for a German marketing student summer camp... It was shot on a cartridge of
Kahl Super 8mm reversal that had some cool light leaks going on. There is
some digital keying but minimal color correction. Noticeable digital
artifacts, but it wasn't too distracting for this particular project.

Sheesh... worst case you should be able to improvise an adaptor and sling
with gaff tape. Not good and never stable, but better than cancelling a

It's a guess, but could it be?

Re: [Frameworks] anamorphic lens on an Eiki EX

2018-02-10 Thread jared ashburn
Sherman and Scott,

Thank you for your quick replies. The projectionist wasn't able to adapt to
the lenses that were provided so the films weren't shown. Thanks to the two
of you, we can now plan accordingly. I appreciate you taking the time to
offer this information.

Best Wishes,
Jared
