I need to chat to some folks first about the best way to do this, first. Be patient, and look forward to something interesting in 5.0-RELEASE. :-) Ciao, Sheldon. On that subject, can you give me a rough projection as to when 5.0-RELEASE is likely to arrive? -- "I'm entirely unaccountable for any moments of sanity contained herein." :s/Windows/UNIX John Toon | [EMAIL PROTECTED] | "Sonnilon" To Unsubscribe: send mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with "unsubscribe freebsd-current" in the body of the message
Re: microuptime() went backwards / SHMSEG
Steve Ames wrote: Just upgraded to -CURRENT as of about noon (EST) today. At reboot I got a lot of these: microuptime() went backwards (1.7682417 - 1.997434) I recall reading in -current earlier this week that someone was looking for victims getting this. What further information can I provide? -Steve If it is of any relevance, I got hundreds of these messages from 4.0-RELEASE, on my Athlon 1Ghz, Abit KA7-100 system. So many, in fact, that every time it happened, I was left with no choice but to reboot, as it slowly brought the system to its knees. Building the kernel without apm fixed the problem, and I have since had no problems.
Re: XFree86
Mark Murray wrote: BTW - there is no XF86Setup in XFree86-4 yet. No, but there is xf86cfg, which is even better ;^) It correctly autodetected both my Monitor and Video card, meaning that I was able to get maximum performance out of both (proper Modelines). Though 1962x1440 is pushing it on a 19" monitor ;^) I think I'll stick to 1600x1200.
