Need a working sample for the new version of the port for pf.

Sorry, I'm not using pf and I'm not familiar with it. I'm even looking
for a small sample /etc/pf.conf, so I can start playing around with it
myself.

Have a look in the discussion on fail2ban, esp. issue 1915
https://github.com/fail2ban/fail2ban/issues/1915

It is still ongoing and if you are a pf user you can contribute.

fail2ban released 7 days ago, many bugfixes including fixing of stale db
entries, 0.9.2-1, but ports version still stays at 0.9.1 and I don't see
upgrade PR.

I returned from holidays over the 1st May weekend yesterday night.
Give me a few days to create the patch.

Hello,

I’ve been trying to work out why logging via syslog does not function
and found that fail2ban has a hard coded socket for the syslog daemon
which is not BSD compatible. Here is a patch to resolve, otherwise pass
it upstream to have the project make it a configuration directive.

Thank you for finding that. I've never used fail2ban with log files only.

I will pass it upstream but I don't know when 0.9.1 will come out.
So in the meantime I will make a patch for FreeBSD, there are some more
small issues waiting to be fixed.
