Installation problems
Please note I am trying to install FreeBSD 5.1 onto a blank system. The system is a Soltek Cubic system with an Athlon 2600+, 512MB DDR RAM, DVD drive and CD-R/W as well as an 80GB HDD and a 40GB one. I have followed the instructions in the book I bought (FreeBSD Unleashed) to the letter but still cannot complete a full installation. I get no error messages at all but still find the installation does not complete as I cannot get it to install a boot record so I have not been able to get it to boot from the HDD. What is wrong? I have tried with both the CD from the book and also an image I downloaded from the net. Please help. Thanks in advance. 3D Home CAD

Email consolidation
Please note that I have 3 PC's (soon to be 4) which each have an email account on them. I now wish to integrate all the accounts to the same computer as there are messages on each I do not wish to lose. They are all networked to each other and share a single net connection so transfer is possible. 2 of the machines are Linux and this one is WinXP but the new one will be FreeBSD and that is the one I want to use most of all. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance. TCPA / Palladium
Hello there :) I recently came across an article about TCPA and Palladium. I didn't like what I read in it and want to know if *BSD was likely to become overwhelmed by it as I can see a time when the Internet will become divided between the two camps (TCPA and non-TCPA) where services between the two will not be compatible. How can we overcome this and are there any pojects or movements underway to combat it? I don't want Microsoft to get any more power than it already has. Thanks fo your time and I look forward to hearing from you shortly. Adrian. To Unsubscribe: send mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with unsubscribe freebsd-questions in the body of the message
