Firefox crash after upgrade to 8.3 as of yesterday

2012-02-22 Thread Erich Dollansky
Hi,

I installed 8.3 as of yesterday:

uname says:

FreeBSD AMD620.ovitrap.com 8.3-PRERELEASE FreeBSD 8.3-PRERELEASE #28: Tue Feb
21 17:15:07 WIT 2012
er...@amd620.ovitrap.com:/usr/obj/usr/src/sys/AsusAMD620 amd64

Open i.e. www.freebsd.org with firefox and do one of the following to crash
firefox:

Right click on any link and try to open it in a new tab.
Click on help --> About.

Firefox worked on this machine the day before the upgrade without problems.

What can I do to help locating the problem?

Erich

I don't think there is anything FreeBSD-specific about what you are
experiencing. You probably should ask the Firefox experts. See:

Firefox crash

2004-11-23 Thread Pietro Cerutti
Hallo all,
first of all sorry for my bad english, it's not my mother language...
I'm in troubles with Mozilla Firefox (pkg firefox-1.0_1,1).
Under medium-heavy load (5 or more tabs open on https etc) he sometimes
crashes and kills himself.

In my home directory a file named firefox-bin.core is then created.
$ file firefox-bin.core
firefox-bin.core: ELF 32-bit LSB core file Intel 80386, version 1
(FreeBSD), FreeBSD-style, from 'firefox-bin'

I don't know where to search for crash logs or others, any help or
suggestion is appreciated! Please tell me if I should give more infos
and what to post...

Thanks!
Best regards,

Try the patch anyway. If you're using KDE, or have libcups.so.2
installed, you may see this crash. Note: I have never been able to
reproduce it using GNOME, so if this doesn't fix it, I'll need more
information (i.e. a backtrace with debugging symbols).

Since Upgrading FireFox to 1.0 each time i press print
or goto print something Mozilla either closes itself or re-loads it's
program. I updated ports//src etc yesterday and i am still having this

2004-10-19 Thread Brian Behlendorf
Oh, ouch, yeah this is hitting me to, with firefox-1.0.1.p_4.
mozilla-1.7.2_5,2 does not have this problem. On 4-STABLE compiled a few
months ago, and xorg rather than XFree86 in case that matters. PR opened
on it, don't have the # yet.
