[Freeciv-Dev] (PR#40103) PR#38552 Unknown Login ID
URL: http://bugs.freeciv.org/Ticket/Display.html?id=40103 Hello, I hope that this is the right email address. I have a user name with the bug filing system that you have. I have lost my login ID and password. Is it possible to find it on your end? Or to re-register with the same email? Re: [Freeciv-Dev] (PR#39880) Right click GUI and Lepoard
URL: http://bugs.freeciv.org/Ticket/Display.html?id=39880 Mr. Markstedt, Thank you for the prompt answer. Is it possible to use the arrow keys to move the view? I know you can use it to move a selected unit. Also, wouldn't it not be better to use ctrl-click to move the view not apple- click? Christopher Spiewak On Nov 22, 2007, at 5:54 AM, Daniel Markstedt wrote: URL: http://bugs.freeciv.org/Ticket/Display.html?id=39880 Hi Christopher, Thank you for your report! I will try to address your issues below: On 11/22/07, wrote: URL: http://bugs.freeciv.org/Ticket/Display.html?id=39880 Hello, My name is Christopher Spiewak. I have a MacBook intel chip set, running Apples Leopard. I have been running version 2.1. I have found that the game is very right click dependent. Not having a right clicker this is a problem. I do know you can use the cities tab, but this is not as great. You can simulate a right-click by holding down the command (apple) key and clicking. A middle-click can be performed by holding alt and clicking. I have been running the game in OS X and on BootCamp Windows XP. In Leopard it first has to run X11 (which I do know is not your guys's problem). But on a Mac it looks wrong. The attached file is a pic. of what it looks like in Leopard. I have not changed the pic. The arrows are really cyan. This looks like a bug in the theme and/or theme engine. After the game has started, try going to GameLocal OptionsTheme and change to another theme in the dropdown. Christopher Spiewak P.S. I think it would look better without the command line. The command line is needed in the pregame screen since not all server options or commands are available in the gui. It can also be used to chat with other connected users. Best regards, ~Daniel ___ Freeciv-dev mailing list Freeciv-dev@gna.org https://mail.gna.org/listinfo/freeciv-dev

Déc. 18 20:04:33 2006]: I have just downloaded the new beta and I know it is still in work, but there were I few things I wanted to bring to you. First of all this game rocks. Anyways, I started a game and saw that there was no way to move the part of the map that you play on. You can use the right mouse button to center the view on a tile. Else, you can have scrolled bars in the local options. (Menu Game/Local Options). Also there is a problem with the progress bar in the overview page for a city. This has been fixed for a long time now. I hope you guys don't know about these other ways I just feel my odd then I am already. And I have one request of you guys, in front of and a little down there is a title bar. I like it a lot, but when trying to do some thing in front of it. If there is away to turn this on and off that is awesome if not could ya make one please. Waiting for the finial, Christopher Spiewak Thank you for your report. There is no new bug is this, then I turn it to resolved. Ok thanks for the fyi. ___ Freeciv-dev mailing list Freeciv-dev@gna.org https://mail.gna.org/listinfo/freeciv-dev

I just tried re-downloading it and it works now. Although when I want full screen I had to cheek the full screen, and then hit the 1280 by 800. Is it posible to make it so that when you turn on full screen that it auto fills to an ok resolution and then you can choose what resolution you want? Christopher I agree that the current UI solution is unintuitive. When you learn it, however, it's convenient. I would personally be annoyed if the SDL client autodefaulted to some random resolution. So I thought, by putting a small helptext between the checkbox and the resolution buttons, could we keep it the way it is. The helptext could say something like For fullscreen mode, first select this checkbox, then click on a resolution button below. Alternatively, how about having two columns of resolution buttons; one for windowed and one for fullscreen resolutions? ~Daniel I think that the two columns would be a great idea. Currently the SDL feels like it needs a little bit of work. Which makes me wish that I know how to program even more. Well thank you guys once again and keep all this awesome coding.
