That would be great. Your English is way better than my Dutch. ;) Also, a real
translation is superior to me just running stuff through google translate.

I want to finish up the "advanced mode" stuff first. Or at least add their text
to the translation files first.

I don't know if Dutch will appear on the language selection screen. If there
aren't to many, I will add it. Regardless, the installer can support a (more or
less) unlimited number of languages through by detecting previous installation
settings and/or the LANG env variable.

I think he is referring to the new installer for FreeDOS 1.2, not the packages
for its software. But, both would be great... :)

Re: [Freedos-devel] FreeDOS 1.2

2015-11-22 Thread Geraldo Netto
Hello Maarten,

How are you doing?

Actually, all you need to do is go to http://freedoslocal.sourceforge.net/
right-click and save any file from "en" column :)
So, you will download the original english file

Then you can translate and save it with .nl (?)
When saving you have to take care with the 'file encoding', it must be UTF-8
So, if you are using notepad on Windows you will have to change it
from "ANSI" to "UTF-8"
Finally, you send it to Mateusz :)

Re: [Freedos-devel] FreeDOS 1.2

2015-11-22 Thread Maarten Vermeulen
I like to add to this that I can give you Dutch.
If you like the fact of being lazy, you can give me what you want to translate
and I translate it.
Or if you want a list of words or whatever else, I can search for it. But it is
late here so that would probably be tomorrow or even Tuesday... While some
words can be fast.
You choose. :)

Sorry for answering so late. :)

Hi,

I personally like Dutch supported as well.
I'm Dutch and can English but sometimes I prefer my own language. :)
In the very old fdbasecd I liked the option of having Dutch.

What languages would you like to see FDI 1.2 support:

Spanish (ES)

Second:

Nobody has any idea on what additional packages are

[Freedos-devel] FDINST bug?

2015-11-22 Thread Jerome E. Shidel Jr.
Having a problem two problems using FDINST in FDI.

1) There are several packages it fails to extract.
They extract fine using unzip, but have problems in FDINST.

I’ve tried recompressing them multiple ways, but that either
causes FDINST to choke on all of the files. Or, just fail at the
same point.

2) Although, when 1st problem is corrected this won’t matter.
But, it does not generate an exitcode errorlevel when this happens.
Basically, it prints an error and continues on as if nothing went wrong.
