 I'm glad it did.

  Yep.. need to find a shortcut key for that.

 For that, you might ask right on the xine-devel list, I
 think if there is not yet such a shortcut,

Nope There isn't one.

what _can_ be done right now is just to have a config file which enables
the post-processing. I've looked at the config file as well as the
source, doesn't seem to have the option
(xine-lib/src/xine-engine/config-file.c)

 language channels on the fly would be of use in Freevo too, I guess. But
 maybe there is already anothere triggering mechanism available for that,
 if Freevo2 links against the xine library...

It would definitely be useful.

Hi.

Another solution might be to add a couple of entries in the main menu. You
can use scripts to change the balance of the mixer, with scripts and aumixer
or similar. There is info in the wiki to write fxd files to run external
programs.

Re: [Freevo-users] Using Xine for DVD playback.

2006-04-03 Thread Emmanuel Sale
You have to edit the local_conf.py in /etc/freevo or ~./freevo
Search for something like this

VIDEO_PREFERED_PLAYER=mplayer
and change it to
VIDEO_PREFERED_PLAYER = xine

For more details you can look the wiki
http://freevo.sourceforge.net/cgi-bin/doc/DetailedConfig

 Hi there!

 Anyone who knows how to use xine as default player for DVD movies? I
 just get mplayer to play the dvds, and then the menus and such won't work...

 Regards, Henrik

Hi.

You can set the default extensions for mplayer and xine. Just set .vob only
for xine.
