[Freevo-users] Problem with recording HDTV

2009-08-25 Thread Jason Cox
Hi all,
I have a problem with recording HDTV in Australia. When I select a HD
channel I have no audio and so only a vido stream is vailable.

I have checked from the command line and it appears to be a problem with
mplayer as xine works ok.
I have included the local_conf for referance as I also have a problem in
that it saves the files with avi extension instead of ts, how can I
change that?

here is a dump from mplayer trying to view a HD channel.

I found the problem in the augment_time script. it was checking for
Myth. so i just mod the script to always put an offset. I cant
understand wny you would want to not have the local offset.

[Freevo-users] guide and tv_grab problems on Gentoo

2008-01-26 Thread Jason Cox
hi,
I have been rackin gmy brains on this for some time. I have installed
1.54 and 1.7.2 from gentoo portage and keep getting the sam thing
happening.
both grabbers that i use will download data, but neither will update the
guide. the error i get is the following,

Error in tv guide, skipping
Traceback (most recent call last):

Scheduling favorites for recording:

the data from the xml grabber looks like this

Late Show with David Letterman
David Letterman's chat show with celebrity interviews, music,
and comments on the week's events.

Variety
Interview
Arts and Living

For SHEPHERD Grabber:

Ideal
The Money
Moz's life is in turmoil: Nicki's just given birth
to a well-tanned baby; he gets raided by the police; PC gets drunk and
wants to fight him; Stemroach and gang turn up to pay him less than
expected and manage to stab PC in the process; Judith offers herself to
him and they end up on the roof as his flat burns below them.
