Re: [Freevo-users] Adjusting the Webradio list

2003-10-14 Thread Per Wigren
For a quick fix, edit share/gxine-mediamarks.
For a futureproof fix, check out my sideproject at
http://webradio.sourceforge.net and add it (and other stations) to the
database! ;)

Is there some way that I can add / remove stations to the Webradio
listing? For example I want to add the the KANZ stream (High Plains
Public Radio, Garden City, KS, USA), webpage located at
http://www.publicbroadcasting.net/hppr/ppr/index.shtml.
There are 2 links on that page:
MP3 .PLS stream: http://pubint.sc.linwd.net:9095/listen.pls
MP3 .M3U stream: http://www.publicbroadcasting.net/hppr/ppr/hppr.m3u
Any idea on how I can add them to the freevo list?

Re: [Freevo-users] Re: Plugin development.

2003-10-13 Thread Per Wigren
I remember there is a program on Freshmeat that gets comic strips from
hundreds (?) of sites.. I think it's written as a Perl-CGI but it may be
a good startingpoint. ;)

I've just post the plugin to the list. For the moment only Dilbert
comics are possible to grab but would be possible to extend.

If you are intrested in extending it or including it in some other
plugin, thats ok with me. I'm satisfied with this one but I am willing
to help if you have some ideas.

Thanks for your help but I can't get it working. It's my lack

I can't figure out how to return 'items', how does this list

look

like?

I've tried serveral ways but this is, basically, what I want:

class PluginInterface(plugin.MainMenuPlugin):
   def items(self, parent):
   items = []
   items.append(MenuItem('Grab todays Dilbert

strip',

self.get_strip1))
   return [ items ]

Only 'return items'. items is a list, if you return [ items ] you
return a list in a list.

Re: [Freevo-users] Same free games for Game feature in Freevo ?

2003-10-03 Thread Per Wigren
You can get a few Public Domain ROMs for MAME here:
http://www.mame.net/downmisc.html
I'm not sure they are very good games to use as a showoff for others
though.. :D

Re: [Freevo-users] TVTime Xfree86

2003-10-02 Thread Per Wigren
Why use a windowmanager at all? Just start freevo as the windowmanager! ;)

I am using TvTime (I think its better than Mplayer) and found that it
didn't work with Fbdev only X11. But I am thinking of a work around. You
see Providing it dosent require GTK which I don't think it does, there
in theory should be no reason for it not to use X11 with ie BlackBox or
WindowMaker. And as X11 supports at least the nvidia tvout then than
that should cause no problem.
Boot up the machine. Starts str8 into X with WindowMaker and a script
that boots freevo automaticly.

With the switch to TVTime for TV viewing, will Freevo require X? Or can
TVTime be run on a framebuffer-only setup?
I'm asking because I've never been that good at setting up XFree86 in
the first place, and setting it up with working TV-out is not something
I'd like to do... =)
