I also have an saa7134 card, wich came with an audio cable to connect to the sound card, but my audio was very bad quality. I finally found out, that the cable is not needed at all, I was able to get the sound directly through PCI. I had to load the module with oss=1 as an option and then the audio in device was /dev/dsp1. The sound quality is much better now. Hi. You have probably tried this, but in the mixer you must enable recording from line in. I mean, you can hear audio from line in, but have it muted for recording. I don't know in freevo's mixer (I'm not there yet), but in kmix, you can mark the muted/unmuted channels in green, and the recording channel in red. [Freevo-users] No audio with recordings
Hi, I have freevo installed and a mountain of deps :-) on Fedora Core 3 (no xmltv) and using tvtime as default tv viewer. I can do everything I want including record, but my recordings have no audio. I have tried a lot of variants to get the audio working i.e. from the website and such, but alas still no audio with recordings. Hardware is Pinnacle PCTV Rave (saa7134) and sound card is SB Live (patch cable from tuner to sound card line in). After all the work it's gonna be something simple no doubt - Anyone able to help?
