Re: [Freevo-users] dfbmga and freevo
I'm assuming the self-build.so file is not the real name.. I don't have a file by that name anywhere on my system (yes, I tried). I didn't see any sdl files in the freevo dir either.. What should this file be named... and should I assume that is should replace the freevo version of the same file.. ( mv.../xyz.so/usr/local/freevo//xyz.so ) of course after I make a backup of the org. the file name is libSDL-1.2.so.0, you have to replace the one in /usr/local/freevo/runtime/dll with the one you have compiled. Unfortunetly I've tryed this with no success : pygame.error: No available video device I've checked in the CVS, the patch provided with 1.3.2 release is the latest available. Mplayer works with dfbmga driver with no pb, so I don't think that's a Directfb related pb. Does anyone can help ? Re: [Freevo-users] dfbmga and freevo
if you are using the release from yesterday (1.3.2), you have to build sdl yourself with the psdl12cvs-directfb09-16-tvout.diff patch. you can find this patch somewhere in the freevo cvs. OK.. I've successfully complied installed SDL-1.2.5 ( http://www.libsdl.org/ ).. with the patch. then make sure you are using your self-build .so sdl file and not the one in the runtime and finally start freevo with the dfbmga option in the freevo.conf file. Re: [Freevo-users] dfbmga and freevo
How do I get freevo to use the dfbmga, I edited the freevo.conf to use dfbmga, but it gives me libarery errors.. I'm assuming because I need to compile/recompile some of the code that comes with freevo. I have downloaded (and istalled the rpm version for now.. till I can find this package) untared the file. Found the sdl12cvs-directfb09-16-tvout.diff patch (for people that are looking.. its in the tar file, freevo-1.3.2/runtime/patches) tried : patch -p1 sdl12cvs-directfb09-16-tvout.diff but it couldnt find the file needed: src/video/directfb/SDL_DirectFB_video.c This may be in the SDL and not in freevo -- I didn't find any mention of that on the site.. as far as where to download. Could someone help me out here please... I've successfully complied my kernel, directfb, and MPlayer-0.90 and am able to use the -vo dfbmga at a command line, and it displays the video on my tv. every thing else is displayed on my monitor. Im using: RH9 G400 DirectFB 0.9.18 Kernel 2.4.20 with fusion patches. I'm at work right now.. so I cant get the exact error.. but will if needed.
