And if these are configurable where are they configurable? 1) not to my understanding but if there is a poll for this i would say YES !! I know one can manually record things but a 5 min before and 5 after option would be great. /Robert --- This SF.net email is sponsored by: SF.net Giveback Program. Re: [Freevo-users] pre-record amount? re-attempts?
All this stuff has been talked about before. Now that 1.4 is out you will soon see the pre/post recording buffer feature. For the recording notification the recordserver would have to notify the TV frontend that it wants to start recording. I would like to have the TV side listen for xml-rpc requests like the recordserver stuff but that will require some work. If the user is watching TV when a recording needs to start (and all available recording devices are in use) then they could be presented with a popup to make a choice or have a default choice in the config. -Rob Richard van Paasen wrote: I'd also be nice to get a notification if a recording should start while I'm watching a(nother) channel. I've been thinking of a notify/reminder-plugin that could have been used for this. I'd like the plugin to use something like tvtime's DISPLAY_MESSAGE or xawtv's xawtv-remote to display the notification. It should be possible to schedule a notification/reminder or just display it right away. -- Eirik Meland ( glad the feature freeze is over ) --- This SF.net email is sponsored by: SF.net Giveback Program. Re: [Freevo-users] pre-record amount? re-attempts?
I would like a pre-record setting and a post-record setting. The second option sounds fun but it shouldn't be enabled by default. I wouldn't use it because I don't use Freevo for watching TV just as a PVR. If something poped up and I didnt press a button, I would never record it. That wouldn't be too good.
