Re: iBook 600mhz vs TiBook 400mhz

2002-04-17 Thread richie

My main reason for getting a TiBook over the 12 iBook was the screen size.
The other features you mention depends on need. I just knew that if I got
the iBook the next week would have needed a PC Card slot or infrared. Now if
they only had the 14 iBook...

Anyone out there familiar with a comparison between the iBook 600mhz
version and the older TiBook 400mhz? I'm trying to figure out how
they compare under OSX. I'm really wanting to find some subjective
comparisons. My quandry is that smalldog has the iBook 600mhz

Re: Good, inexpensive digital camera

Also, use the paper made my the manufacturer of your printer to get the best
results from your setup.
Tom

The trick to getting really good
photos is to use photo-quality paper. I have an Epson
Stylus 650 (originally $79, got it free in a bundle),
but I use genuine Epson glossy photo paper
($0.50/sheet) and tinker with the many
photo-compensation settings in the printer driver to
 get some really decent-looking shots.

How is OS X 10.1.4 Update out TODAY work in G3s?

2002-04-17 Thread James

I just updated my Dual G4 to OS X 10.1.4 but I am a
little reluctant to update my Powerbook G3 2000 just
yet. I would like to know if there is any difference
on the G3s and if performance or stablitiy has
improved? Take it for granted I have been Using OS X
10.1 since it came out on my G3 and had only one crash
in the entire time i used it and none on my G4 tower
since i got it in March
thanks

Weird Wallstreet Battery problem

2002-04-17 Thread aron nelson

Just recently my Battery shows totally dead with the LEDs and button
on the side of it.

However in OS 9 the battery shows as totally FULL. Even if I swap it
into the right bay, the control strip and clock/battery icon shows
totally full.

I have tried Battery Reset and Power Management Reset but it still shows full.

Of course it isn't. I can unplug the power adaptor and it will shut right off.

Does it sound like the PMU Board?

Thanks,

Aron

It sounds like it could be, but that could also be your battery. What
exactly happens whey you reset the battery?
