I have a G4 with a combo drive - I back up regularly to a couple of
CD-RW disks which I swap. Occasionally I'll burn to CDs as a
permanent record - very cheap these days. I also bought a USB Zip 250
drive which is OK but very slow.

USB PCMCIA CARD

2002-11-28 Thread jcallahan
My Wallstreet w/ OS X works fine with my Macally USB card. The only
trouble I had is with my USB CD-R burner. I was burning a video tape
and the computer froze and somhow distroyed all my extensions, so that I
had to do a clean install of the OS. It took me a considerable length of
time to figure out what had happened, like maybe six hours. Wonder if
anyone else has had similar problem.

Pismo G3s

2002-11-28 Thread David M. Ensteness
You happen to know where one could find G3 processors for Pismos? I
know someone who would be willing to pay for them.

Thanks.

Same problem here, Wallstreet 250MHz... thought it might have been a
loose contact, but didn't find anything significant.

Re: Wallstreet and CDRW module

2002-11-28 Thread Robert Bryce
Ian, I wish it were that easy. I have that driver and have tried various
combinations with various authoring drivers left out as per the support file
at mce but no joy.
My PB is the Wallstreet version, earlier than yours and my authoring support
ext is 1.1.7. A later version 1.1.9 recommended by mce only supports PB with
native USB like yours. It's a mystery, Toast knows the drive is there by
won't talk to a disc.
Thanks

Bob

 With the
disc drawer open, I can continue to use the Mac. Is there something I'm
missing, a driver maybe? Running OS9.2.1, I thought it would be easy!!
