Can you plug/unplug devices on a Wall Street in sleep mode?
Just wondering if it's the same as when it's shut off. I was thinking of my digital camera (serial port) or any SCSI devices. -- G-Books is sponsored by http://lowendmac.com/ and... erasing, wiping, shredding hard drives
Security programs Low-level formats Drills Industrial shredders I think we all know the *best* way to ensure data on a drive is unrecoverable: Keep your most important, valuable, irreplaceable data on the drive, with no backup. Then install Norton Crash Guard/System Utilities. The system will almost immediately crash, the drive will become corrupt, and you will NEVER get your data back. grin --Jim. -- G-Books is sponsored by http://lowendmac.com/ and... Pismo -- good little machine
I just discovered something very neat about my Pismo: I'm running it in clamshell mode and it's doing video mirroring at a resolution not native to its built in screen (1152*870). This is one awesome little machine. At first I was kind of afraid I'd made a mistake replacing my BW for something that was 50 MHz slower but it wasn't!!! One happy Pismo owner. I believe I could plug in a SCSI device while sleeping, but if I tried to unplug it while sleeping, on wakup, it would cause all sorts of problems, forcing a reboot in an ugly manner. I would never unplug SCSI without shutting down, but you might try plugging in while sleeping. BTW, I think I used Silverlining to mount items plugged in while sleeping (and unmounting before sleeping didn't help.) -- Jon Glass Krakow, Poland [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sometimes the majority only means that all the fools are on the same side. -- G-Books is sponsored by http://lowendmac.com/ and... Go to Application / Utilities / PrintCenter Hold the Option-Key (key between ctrl and Command) while clicking add Printer. Then you can choose the more options and now you see the the option printing to windows via samba. -- G-Books is sponsored by http://lowendmac.com/ and...
