This is probably common knowledge, but... You could try turning on speech for error messages. If this is caused by an error dialog popping up behind the active window, it'll chime, then read the dialog text to you. This has proven to be pretty useful to me. Sudden SPOD
Sorry if this is obvious... I'm running OS X 10.2.5 on my Pismo. It's always run fine on the machine, but recently I've started getting a wait cursor when I start up some applications. Things like Terminal and Safari will load up and display, then hang with the wait cursor for almost a minute. With Terminal, I won't get the command prompt until the wait cursor goes away. I haven't run any software updates in a while, the last one was several weeks before this started happening. Running top doesn't show anything hogging a bunch of resources. Restarting the PB doesn't resolve the issue, either. I'm pretty familiar with Unix, but new to OS X. Does anyone have any ideas for things to check?
