RE, you may also want to try a search of twocows site for out of date
drivers

Hmmm, from the article, it seems to imply that there is an OS
limitation
with the Stylewriter II, ie may not work with OS 8+. Am I
interpreting this
correctly? By the way, THANKS to HAL who emailed me a disk image of
the
original drivers, which I will test soon...

I had mine working in 8.6, IIRC. Don't remember where the drivers are, but
like most things, I would do a Google search. Lots of download sites for old
software out there. Good luck.

I seem to remember running both StyleWriter I and StyleWriter II with the
1500 driver with OS 8.1 on a Performa 6300 and 6116.

It is more than a rumor. Here is the official Apple document on
StyleWriter drivers, etc.:

Awww...a "track record." A "track record"! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! "Run Vzel
came in first 7 times out of 10 in last season's excuses for weenies to get
all hot'n'bothered...now back to the game..."

Given the letters of thanks for my post, the letters stating, "ROFLMAO,"
maybe you're...um...WRONG. "Hmmm," here's "...an idea." If you "...don't
like the posts in a thread or from a specific author... filter it. What's
stopping..." [EMAIL PROTECTED] "...from doing that?"

Mea culpa if you don't get my humor, crying a river if you don't benefit
from my contributions of technical advice...and a suggestion: Never move to
Manhattan or Alaska, avoid Don Rickles, Rodney Dangerfield and Dennis Leary
at all costs, and stay away from spicy foods.

Now, moving onto something on-target: I have a buddy with a G3 upgraded
1400. Wants to run an old StyleWriter II printer. Neither of us can find
the "durn" driver. Heard a rumor that that the Color StyleWriter 1500
driver would run it, but no joy there--doesn't work. Any hints as to where
to find the driver? Is there a ram minimum to run any of these old
StyleWriters? (He's only running 32megs actual, he's broke, and I should
only recommend a ram upgrade if absolutely necessary.) If this list does
not handle these books equipped so, anyone have a friend on the other lists
that might help? Don't want to add to the flurry of incoming mail by
subbing to yet another list just for this question, not if I can find the
answers through someone here.

Thnx in advance.
