Oh dear.
Larry,
Please try to remember that there are children on this list, not to mention
the whole host of complaints you are going to get off list from insulted
and angered adults.
Must be a very sad person who gets offended by a woman's breast!!
One of the nicest, most comforting things in the world.
Babies are born, and the first thing we do is stick a breats in their
face, but as they get older (2 y.o. ?) they're not supposed to see
breasts until they're... what 20 in the US ?! (I live in Sweden)
By all means have a go at me, but that'll only prove what a sad,
sad person takes offence at a breast!
Have a nice day, I know I will!

 Thanks!

I got some stuff at the computer store that pulls out the top like baby
wipes. Works great for me. What I use is called 'Nice 'n Clean.'

Cheapest yet still effective method: Eyeglass cleaner and microfiber cloth.
And this is really safe for the screen itself? Also for the plastics? You
are sure?
I'm very much in favour of working low cost methods, but I'd like to make
sure it doesn't destroy the materials.
If I now only could find a way to ink refill my Lexmark.

Re: Clean Screens

2004-05-04 Thread Thomas Ethen
I find this quest for cheap solutions to be kind of strange, considering you
have hundreds if not thousands of dollars in your computer and you don't
want to use the product made for cleaning you screen because of a minimal
amount of money.

Hoodwipes cost me $1.05 each and I use them only about once a month if that,
which is about 3¢ a day to use a product that will not harm my LCD or my
laptop case. Why would I use some other product that may or may not do
damage to my computer to save that minimal amount of money?

Sure. I have used the eyeglass cleaner for years with no side effects.
Mild soap, alcohol and water solution. Very mild soap, like 2%. No
residue.

There are refill kits for lexmark cartridges, 1/3 cost of new cartridges. I
do it.

Unless the wipes are microfiber cloth, there is a risk of screen scratching.
Not bashing your intent to help, just allowing a heads up. Soft cloth like
a terry towel or a microfiber eyeglass cloth is way to go.
