It's a 550 Ti 512MB/20GB DVD-ROM and the price tag 6000SEK,
about 600 Euro ($600 ?)
Am I better off keeping this or selling it at the going rate and
buying a newer iBook ?

$600 US is a steal for that machine, grab it and decide what to do
later.
Even if it is only in good shape it is a better machine than the 900mhz
i-Book. First it has a G4 chip, you can put in up to a gig of ram, it
has a PC card slot, and an available expansion bay. For $600 I would
buy it in a heartbeat.
