farallon iPrint on Pismo OS 10.3.4 laserWriter4/600
Can anyone tell me if I'm running OS 10.3.4 (also 9.2.1) hooked up a Farallon iPrint so I could still use my trusty apple LaserWriter 4/600ps with OS X. My question is, I hooked up the iprint part to my printer ethernet of the pismo But what else do I need to do or have? In OS X, I clicked on the SYS folder/printer folder the laserwriter is listed in the PPD folder. But in the Pref's panes/Print fax when I click on add a printer, it does Not See my printer! To even be able to pick it! Someone Please help! What do I need to do? issues with OS 10.3.4?
Have been getting dropouts of wireless since upgrading; must switch to bootP, apply, then back to DHCP and apply to reconnect. And today my Epson 1520 seems to have bitten the dust - won't print from either colour, ex. a ghosting of the black. Seems serious. Most likely this is not 10.3.4 tho I would say. Larry My Al 15 PB 1.25 GHz is also taking much longer to shut down than it did before I installed 10.3.4. Re: OS 10.3.4
I administer over a 100 Macs at my Office. This is the procedure I do before running an OS Update. First, I boot off the Panther CD, and run Disk First Aid, and I also run Fix Disk Permissions. Then I boot back up, and download the full combo update for Mac OS 10.3.4. The one that's 81 MB. When I do this, I avoid problems 99.99% of the time. My advice would be to boot off the CD, and do the same thing. Then reinstall the full 10.3.4 update. Regards, -- Aaron Willems Anyone having issues with OS 10.3.4? Running 10.3.4 on a BW G3-300 (upgraded to a G4-450)... no real problems. Just a small glitch with icons on the desktop.
