Anyone running Tiger on a Pismo smoothly?
Is it worth the upgrade on a Pismo?

I'd like to know if the built in Airport card works on a Pismo running
Panther or Tiger.

I like the idea of an internal card but I don't want to go back to OS9.

Thanks

Re: OSX on Pismo, does the airport card work?

2005-06-30 Thread Ian Moffatt
Internal Airport runs perfectly on my Pismo with 9 and Panther

Currently eagerly following the tread about Tiger here and will
probably go for it with my Pismo 512MB

I know there are people that will tell me it's too slow. These are the
same ones that told me OS X would NEVER run on my 266 iMac 256MB now
384MB or 233 DT 320MB

Could never go back to wires with a PowerBook. OK with the iMac/DT as
my router has wired ports as well

Wireless and Bluetooth - it's the way to go!

Not too slow at all. I have 10.4 on my 500Mhz Pismo, and two upgraded
G4's: one an 800Mhz Sawtooth, the other 1000Mhz gigabit ethernet.
While it's a noticable difference between them and the powerbook,
I've found myself using the powerbook more than the 1Ghz tower at
home because it's portable.

10.4 runs about as fast as OS 9 ever did on it.
