Safari will not auto-activate.
Laurent, Back from vacation I tried to replicate my problem with Safari. Low and behold, the problem has vanished. Have not done anything, except trying Safari with another user which at that time did not solve the problem. Many thanks, also to all others offering solutions. No duplicate on the HD and cleaning caches with OnyX did not help either. Only difference is that now a window appears saying : Mail cannot open No associated application could be found. When I return I'll resume to tackle the problem. Thanks for your support. Greetings, Andre. -- G-Books is sponsored by http://lowendmac.com/ and... Before this when a link was clicked on, Safari auto-activated so that the link would open. Anyway to reinstate auto-activating ?
