I'm just guessing here ...

Did you import the aiff music files by having them copied into the
iTunes Music Library? at the same time converting them from aiff to mp3?
iTunes Preferences General Ask to Import CD Import Settings etc

Perhaps it is burning mp3's (versus mp4s) from that file folder.

Are you burning from iTunes or using Toast? I didn't think Toast
burned Playlists ... only files dragged to its window ... maybe drag
the aiff files to the Toast Audio window ... then burn from Toast.

Maybe only 4 are fitting onto the CD? or got dragged to Toast ...

Don't have all the facts ... maybe someone else can help.

Choose Burn Playlist to Disc from the contextual drop-down menu by
Control-clicking (right clicking) on the highlighted Playlist. In the
Burn Settings window, under the setting Disc Format, you'll need
to change the format from Data CD or DVD to Audio CD. This will
burn a normal aiff audio CD for you. Remember the size, you'll be
limited to about an hour of music total. An MP3 CD can hold a lot more
IF your CD player can play MP3 files?

Re: Burning Audio CD

2008-12-20 Thread Wavy Gravy

As far as I know, in iTunes when you select a playlist and click on
Burn Disc it opens up a dialog that asks you if you want to make an
Audio CD, an MP3 CD, or a Data Disc. Simply Chose Audio CD to make a
disc that will play in a any CD player. iTunes will convert any non
Red Book audio files to the appropriate sample rate and bit depth and
then burn the CD. Notice you can also add CD-Text in the dialog as
well. You don't need to use Toast.
