Re: [Audyssey] game chat

2006-04-01 Thread Phil Vlasak
Hi David,
Do you have a microphone?
you hold down control and talk as you hold it down.
You stop by letting go of the key.
To get a microphone turned on,
1 go to your volume control in windows.
2 hit alt
arrow down to properties and hit enter.
you should be on play controls.
arrow down to record controls.
Tab to ok
then tab to microphone and un-mute it
You may need to adjust your volume which is right above the mute button.
Hope this helps.
Phil

Re: [Audyssey] sudoku strikeout

2006-04-01 Thread Charles Rivard
When using The Ultimate Soundoku from

www.draconisentertainment.com

be sure to follow the user's guide. It specifically states that screen
reading software is not to be running during the game. Bearing this in
mind, your screen reader, whether it is JAWS or Window-Eyes, should not have
any affect on game performance.

The ultimate Sudoku works better with window eyes though not impossible
 with
 jaws.
 .
 To select menus hit
 k or o.
To go up or down menus,
 use arrow keys.
Also to navigate through the 9 by 9 grid, usearrow keys .
To scan row, hit m then f12 .
To scan column hit ,(comma) then f12.
To place numbers in grid Use The top row number keys
top row hit 0 to erase a number.
 The
escape key can shut down the game.

 Hello out there,
I have struck out with both games of sodoku today. With the audio
games.net free online version I could get the thing started but I could
 not
get any keys to work. I tried this with jaws on and off with no luck. I
also downloaded the plugin as well.
so I decided to try out draconis version and I was fine until I actually
tried to play a game. the game would freeze up on me and nothing would
respond at all, so I would have to turn off the computer.
I tried this a few times and gave up...
so I am either fated never to play sudoku or perhaps someone on the list
can give me some pointers on how to get one of these games to work,
 preferably the free online one.smile
 thanks in advance,
 allan

Come to me and I will give you rest...

This really saddens me because when we switched to tthis web hosting

issue for the amount of traffic we would generate.

Now I get a notice of bandwidth reached. We either need to move the list

I personally rather would go with 5 per day as that would at least allow

Re: [Audyssey] game chat with team talk

2006-04-01 Thread Phil Vlasak
Hi,
I hope that like the beta max and vhs problem, people will pick one voice
chat program and it will be compatible on all platforms and have all the
accessibility features we need.
After installing and learning six different chat programs I think I reached
my limit and my hard drive's capacity.

Yes I meant if iPods were accessible and of course iTunes that would go a
long way to me getting a Mac.
I heard that iPods have the capacity for speech since they run on a slim
down OS 10,
and Apple is beta testing one right now.
My original Apple was an Apple 2e which could play all the games the sighted
world produced since in the beginning there were no such things as graphics!
The only problem is that 25 years ago, speech synthesizers were also very
crude, even worse then Microsoft Sam!
smiles,
Phil

I am not looking for games, for my mac. yes it would be nice, bu it
not a priority of mine. if I want to play games, or with toys, I'll
use my windows box, thats what windows was made for. *smile*

I am just suggesting that if we do get something going for a game
chat, that we try and think of everyone.

and by the way, the apple line of products are accessible. and if
you're talking about the ipod, thats what my braillnote pk is for.

even the talking communities aplet works on a mac. I would just ask

Re: [Audyssey] pinball comparison

2006-04-01 Thread Thomas Ward
Hi Richard,
Back when I was testing them both Pinball games were good. It really
depends on the tables you want. PBC has the Pac Man table which I really
liked, the Western pinball table which was also cool, and well you know
the rest of them. However, I think I liked Pinball Extreme just a bit
better. It had the Baseball table which ruled, and the Alien Outback
table was wicked.
In the end if you can buy both get both, and if not try them and find
out which sets of tables you like.

Re: [Audyssey] pinball comparison

2006-04-01 Thread Charles Rivard
I suggest getting both. That way, you have 12 pinball tables rather than
just 6. The more variety the better. The sounds of both games is good. I
personally like Pinball Xtreme better, but this is a personal opinion. To
start with, try both demos and see what you think. Keep in mind that there
are great tables in each game that are not playable in demo mode. The
user's guide for each game will let you know what you are in for. Happy
pinballing!!

This really saddens me because when we switched to tthis web hosting
place they told me that an average of 300 subscribers would not be an
issue for the amount of traffic we would generate.

Now I get a notice of bandwidth reached. We either need to move the list
back to yahoogroups or we need to limit the messages to 5 per day.

I personally rather would go with 5 per day as that would at least allow
us to stay off of yahoogroups.com. Further more it would make the

[Audyssey] music rivals a simulation game is here!

2006-04-01 Thread Chris Frahm
Ohh man I love this game! It doesn't take too much time but is seriously fun.
With just a few link presses you get to make your own band and rise to stardom.
You get to manage gigs, sign on to a record label, record cd's, buy
instruments and hire people for your band. I'm lovin' it. Plus it's browser
based and totally blind friendly.
Check it out.

Go to:

http://www.musicrivals.com/game/[EMAIL PROTECTED]

That's the link if you want to help me out and get me 10 reputationor just
go to www.musicrivals.com
the help would be appreciated.
Also if you click on this link below my cd sales will increase. At any rate, I
thought this game is fun so I wanted to pass it along.

BTW: what are other internet games that are blind friendly??? Thanks.
