[Audyssey] Interesting web site

2008-06-28 Thread ari
Hi all,
If someone wants to look more into the games on this site, but the riddles
and quizzes are accessible and brilliant, it's really a fun site! The clue
is all in the name, and it is unfortunately one of those sites that, if you
are artistic, you'd wish you could have fun with the designing and
multi-colour games on there.

Re: [Audyssey] Sapi problems with games

2008-06-28 Thread Thomas Ward
Hi Munawar,
There is no need for a special program to fix that error. there is
actually a Sapi program that ships with Windows you can run that
corrects that particular issue. I think what we need to do is put up a
faq on our web sites that addresses the common Sapi issues with known
problems and solutions.
If noone else is up to task with this I would be happy to write and
submit such a faq.

Re: [Audyssey] A kind of introduction

2008-06-28 Thread Thomas Ward
Hi,
I do agree that the UAC dialog prompt can get pretty annoying at times.
With the Vista Ultament version you are allowed to customize User
Account Control setting/security which allows you to have full control
over what it blocks and lets through the security screen. Why Microsoft
does not have this feature in Vista Home Basic and Vista Home Premium I
don't know but it is on my suggestion list for Windows 7. One I hope
Microsoft has the good sense to implament.
As for User Account Control in general it is really something Windows
users are really going to have to get use to sooner or later. This type
of security and account control has been present on Linux for a number
of years and has improved system security and safety because of it. Now,
that Microsoft has woken up to and employed the same style of security
on Windows new Vista users are screaming to take it off, or turn it off
putting their Vista system at the same kind of security risks that were
present under XP.
Really what I have found in my home business is that most Windows users
have been doing things the wrong way for years. Instead of neatly
putting all their documents, downloads, etc in their local directory I
have seen there are a majority of users that just dump pictures,
documents, whatever in their c: drive and expect Vista to put up with
their bad habbits. If it was Linux instead of XP it would have been
screaming at them to store in
/home/user.
it is not just end users with bad hhabbits. Their has been a majority of
programmers that save settings, games, etc to the
c:\Program Files\Program X
directory instead of storing that information in the users App Data
directory. As a result there is lots of programs being updated to work
correctly with Vista all thanks to years of bad habbits.

2008-06-28 Thread Liam Erven
I was wondering when someone was gonna post about this. This software is
absolutely awesome.
You can tell it's still in it's early stages, but the developers are really
friendsly and are fixing errors as people report them. it's worth checking
out. and it's free. which is nice.

[Audyssey] Klango player!

2008-06-28 Thread Jimmy Odin Kristoffersen
Hi All.

I just get the folloing e-mail from klango, if you cant remember klango it's
them who have the Pirate Memory Game.
I just wanna klip this in, so relax and listen, when klango give you a cool
program i think peeple wanna be glad for:

 Our program allows you to:
 * listen to the tenths of thousands internet radio stations, podcasts, audio
books and media files, * record them as mp3 files or to an external mp3 player,
*
play audio games (two games are available at the moment -- (Olympic)
Long Jump and Dice Poker), * learn math with Klango MathTools, * join the
Klango community, post to the forum, send private messages, * keep your own blog
on the internet, * make text notes and share them with friends over the
network, * customize the interface with audio themes ...and many more. All in a
single program which has been designed and tested by hundreds of people who in
large majority are blind. Over a year of hard work, thousands hours of testing
and disscusions gave a great effect. Please check it out. Tell us what do you
think about the Klango Player and take part in its further developement!
We are looking forward to
hearing from you!
You can post your comments and suggestions to the forum and use Questions &
Answers mechanism directly from the Player itself. In the case of problems
with running Klango Player, please read the "readme" file and use the support
form at
http://support.klango.net
. And now the best part: the Klango Player is a _FREE_ software and you
can download it for free by pointing your web browser to
http://setup.klango.net
. However, please forgive us, our main web site
(klango.net) is still under construction.
All the best!
