Yes, you can adjust the volume of the sounds and the voices in Homer on a

[Audyssey] very important message to liam erven!

2008-07-23 Thread nicol
I've been checking the list archives and I noticed a thread where liam
complained about people cracking his games.
Well liam, I've noticed something which you might take care of. I'm not
trying to be insulting or rude
I'm just giving a friendly warning.
Well, I don't own monkey business myself but I play it sometimes on a
friend's pc.
I've noticed while playing the demo of super liam that the sound of the
monkeys dropping cocanuts is exactly the same as sounds in monkey business.
That little musical sound is exactly the same as in level9 in monkey
business.
When you have to follow the monkey to the teleporter he makes that little
musical sound when you are close to him, when you get far behind him he
makes another sound. On the beach in the super liam demo I recognize that
same musical sound.
I heard that same sound when listening to raul playing super liam.
The sound as the cocanut is falling together with that little whisseling
sound is the same as when you walk into a tree in the jungle and campsite in
monkey business.
That dish sound is the same as when you walk into a tree in monkey business
and that whistling sound is the same as in monkey business when a cocanut
hits you .
Because in monkey business if you walk into a tree more than once then you
get hurt.
So liam, you want to take care of that. I don't think draconis is going to
be happy if they learn that you are using some of their sounds.
Ok its not a big deal, its 2 little sounds that is the same as in monkey

should really take care of those sounds by replacing it with original
sounds.

However the major part or problem which is wrong even after you get the
dependencys installed vista does not like the scripts.

I had a sound pack but my computer crashed and lost the set files I had.

Hello everyone, my name is Michael McDermott and I just subscribed to
this list. I live in Boston MA and am new to audio games. I have
bought treck200 and loan wolf from gma games, and have been playing

to learn about what is out there from you folks. I have been checking

Re: [Audyssey] very important message to liam erven!

2008-07-23 Thread Thomas Ward
Hi Nicol,
Both of the sounds in question can freely be obtained off of the
internet. Neither Liam or Draconis has an exclusive copyright on them
since neither company are the original creators of the sounds. They are
just free sound effects obtained from the web.
As it happens Liam isn't the only one who has used sounds from Monkey
Business. As part of my deal with James North in taking over Alchemy
Game Studios I recieved a cd with James North's entire sound effects
library.
when I initially created Montezuma's Revenge I used quite a lot of
sounds from Monkey Business. the stone doors, lava pits, ledge sounds,
etc come strait out of Monkey Business. Over time I replaced several
sounds I found on the internet that were better, but the updated
side-scroller I am working on still does use some of those sounds.
Hth.

makes another sound.
Ok its not a big deal, its 2 little sounds that is the same as in monkey
business, but if you are concerned about copyright issues and cracking, you
should really take care of those sounds by replacing it with original
 sounds.

Hi,
Yeah, I don't think Draconis will mind. Especially, since the sounds
Nicol is talking about are free sounds from the internet anyway. There
is no special copyrights attached to them that I am aware of.

Re: [Audyssey] Introduction

Hi Michael,
If you like GMA's Trek 2000 I would highly suggest trying Star Trek
Final Conflict 1.2 from
http://www.usagames.us
I am currently working on version 2.0, but 1.2 isn't too bad. A lot of
Trek fans on here really enjoy it.

bought treck200 and loan wolf from gma games, and have been playing
them for a while now. I am looking for some new games and am looking
to learn about what is out there from you folks. I have been checking
out the audiogames.net website and think that might be a good
resource, but I hope I can learn a lot from this list.

Re: [Audyssey] very important message to liam erven!

At the time both gamers were created, Monkey Business was owned by James
North, and Draconis had not yet come onto the gaming scene.

Assunto: [Audyssey] very important message to liam erven!
