Re: [Audyssey] Grizzly Gulch Question

2011-10-05 Thread Hayden Presley
Hi There,
No problem. You can use the F12 and F11 keys to speed up and slow down the
speed of the shooting scenes. This is more than helpful when you go to face
murderin Sam.

Best Regards,
Hayden

Re: [Audyssey] Dark's gamebook and other gamebooks?

2011-10-05 Thread dark

Hi Milos.

no problem, the link for my bookk is http://www.sendspace.com/file/8vq939

Just download it, unzip the folder and open the file called index in
whatever your web brouser is.

If you like it, feel free to drop me a vote, sinse I've submitted it to the
windhammer competition on www.arborell.com.

as to other sites, yes there are several.

http://www.ffproject.com/

Has books you can play online, and has the advantage that you don't need to
roll your own dice or keep your own stats, the software on the site does it
for you.

books range in quality but there are some good ones there.

Project Aon on http://www.projectaon.org/new.htm Is another great site.

the Lone wolf books (nothing to do with submarines), were a set of gamebooks
in the 1980's that the author has allowed html versions be made available.
These are fully screen reader playable though you do need to roll your own
dice and keep your own stats. On the dice front, the game used an action
chart, that was a mess of numbers people reading the print books dropped a
pincil on to get a number 0-9, however rolling a D10 does the same job.

Other than www.arborell.com those are the main places for gamebooks around
on the net.

Beware the Grue!

Dark.

All I can say is that there's a good explanation somewhere on the
pcs games site, under a list of all games. I do remember seeing
that several pieces of software were required.

Hope this helps,

Subject: [Audyssey] Castaways version 2.5, final mission 5 added.

Version 2.5 has just been posted, and I believe everyone will be happy
with the additions. The list is long so I'll try to remember it all.

 - The toggle that lets you adjust the game's pauses from long to short,
now also includes an option to remove them completely.
 - If you get tired of using E and R to search through the different job
types, you'll be happy to know that shortcuts have been added. Hold Alt,
and press the starting letter for a job to have it selected. For example,
Alt + F would select your farmers, then Alt + F again would list
 fishermen.
 - When you pause the game, if there are currently any backlogged messages
it will speak the number. So if you pause and hear the word 3 announced,
you will know to press the guave (~) key to hear those messages before
 unpausing.
 - Kai provided an updated set of game sounds. A few have changed due to
people's requests, but there are also many new sounds that play at
different times. If you are using a custom Sound pack, don't worry because
it will still work exactly the same as it did before.
 - I fixed a rare cook and bartender bug that could cause them to freeze
and stop serving food or drinks.
 - I've recoded many sections of code in order to improve performance and
speed up the game on slower machines. I hope everyone notices a
 difference!
 - Destroying or selling a building will now close the building menu. It
used to require you to press escape before you were back in the game.
 - Fixed a bug that wouldn't allow any random disasters to happen in Easy
mode. Normally none happen, but when using the Murphy's law fault, it is
possible for them to happen now, although they will be super rare.
 - There is now a new rare random disaster that can destroy one of your
 walls!
 - When using and to review internet chat messages, emote messages
would show *M3* at the end. This is fixed now.
 - Fixed a bug that could affect enemy raid groups.
 - When a baker bakes bread, it now tells you the specific number of loaves
 he baked.
 - Fixed a few spelling errors that were pointed out.
 - Victory messages are now handled differently to prevent you from
accidentally clearing with a key press.
 - And finally, the big news! Castaways' final mission has been added.
 Mission 5!

Mission 5 adds 2 new buildings, adds a new feature to 2 existing
buildings, a new job type, a new unit type, and 2 new resources. If you
manage to beat this final mission, you will be rewarded with a very long
story. I have no doubt that the story will get people excited, especially
if you figure out the connections it makes.

I wish everyone luck on a truly challenging end to the Castaways game.
Please enjoy it, and I will turn my attention back to new multiplayer
 content for the game.

Re: [Audyssey] flight Simulater?

2011-10-05 Thread Ron Kolesar
Go to your favorite off of the shelf game store is the best advice I can
give to you.
I picked my copy of Microsoft Flight Simulator version ten gold or better
known as fsx gold around the last week of October of 09.

At that time it ran around $45 USD.
Then for full access to the program, you'll need another program called It's
Your Plane or IYP.

For further info about the IYP program. You can go out to
www.itsyourplane.com
You'll need to install the program in the following order.
1. the fsx program.
2. a program that's called fsuipc for fsx and not the version for 2004.
3. thendown load and install the iyp program.
The IYP program will run another roughly $45 USD.
The FSUIPC program for what you need it to do is free. Just install it then
reboot your machine to get read of the register message. But you can
purchase a code for fsuipc for further features.

There's a up grade to the fs program coming out sometime next year.
That's all that I can say about the project.
But for the military side of the flying coin, Go check out a program called
Three-D Velocity from a company called BPC programs.

The address is
www.bpcprograms.com
Then go down to the down load area and either look for three-d Velocity or
tdv. Click on that link then look for the down load link.
It is the first hand to ear full access flight simulator for hand to ear
blind pilots.
You can access everything via either the keyboard or even better with force
feedback written into the program puchace a USB handheld unit AKA a USB
gamepad.

So that's my best advice.
Ron who know's if he were sighted would have had a career in the air and
just hopefully would have made the right stuff for that 1,000 hour
certification for either a Space Shuttle CDR or Commander or PLT Space
Shuttle Pilot, But since the shuttle program is retired, I'll settle for a
slot on board ISS Alpha. SMILES.

Here's to flying via our computers.
