Hi Michael,

Oh, the game itself runs fine. Its just NVDA acts sort of funky when
the text appears on screen and NVDA wants to spell each word instead
of speak them. I have to shut NVDA up, and review it with the review
cursor. I suspect there is probably some setting I have to set to get
NVDA to read the command prompt properly.

Cheers!

Hey everyone,

I don't think anyone has mentioned it here, but there's a new flight sim coming
out called Zero Sight. It's got lots of features that the current flight sim
does not, though some of the things in the takeoff trailer makes me wonder if
it is an actual sim. I also wonder what aircraft your flying as I'm sure taking
off in any aircraft, no matter if it's war or otherwise, requires more effort
than this trailer demonstrates.
Anyway, check out the information on the game and the trailer here.

learn new things for him. Learn their main strengths and weaknesses. their
ranges. what's safe on block and what isn't, what are their combos. what
can you string together and what moves will do the most massive amount of
damage? Practice mode is real useful for this type of thing. there's a
setting that'll force the CPU opponent to autoblock, and another setting
that'll give you unlimited meter. 2 extremely useful options that should be
used to train and get better at the game. if the AI can block it, so can
anyone else. and best thing of all you can do is, go online. a lot. against
totally random people. after a few beatings, you'll start noticing
 improvements. hahaha

 Hey Yohandy.

Oh I understand it is hard to explain. Pretty much what I tell people
looking to get into mainstream games is of course get good at fighting the
AI first before you worry too much about going online and going up against
people or you may get discouraged and give up. I am frankly still at that
stage myself but that is largely because I only have a limited amount of
hours I am willing/able to put into learning these things and as you
rightly point out this is very important. This is why I refer to myself
as more or less a casual mainstream gamer. I really enjoy it, in fact I
enjoy my mainstream games as much as or more than most of my accessible
ones, but do not pretend to be very good at it most of the time. Yeah I
can just imagine how that match went for you lol. As you can no doubt
tell from when this message is being sent I am up at a barbaric hour
getting ready to leave for work but once my schedule lets up after this
next couple weeks I will hopefully really be able to sit down and devote
more time to my newer titles Rock Band and MK 9.

 Game on.

That's actually rather hard to explain. Remember, you're fighting a human
being, not a machine. And us humans aren't too predictable a lot of the

comes down to gut instinct and reaction time. It's not like fighting CPU
where you're like ok they're weak to this attack, so I'll exploit it.
many times experience plays a huge roll as well, and how many hours an
individual is willing to sink into the game. A good example is when I
fought some guy online with like 2500 wins, 200 losses. on ranked! guess
how that match ended for me? and no I'm not exaggerating either. I had a
sighted person here check that out. hahahaha

I might hate my self for this... Not sure if this has been planned, but it'd
be kinda cool to have enemies that you have to shoot downward to hit- like
crawlers, or flying enemies, like crows that you have to aim upward.

After all, what's zombie game without crows!
Also, if it's possible to barricade entrances of buildings in the future-

2. where is che's lovely music that you noted about? Lol
3. You might want to remove the man files for now in the route directory

Hi Jim,

True enough. Although, there are several accessible Blackjack games
including yours they are all slightly different. What I like about
this Atlantic City Blackjack is that it uses the same rules as
Atlantic City casinos instead of Vegas casinos. Its also pretty
challenging as well.

For instance, I played a good game last night where I earned about
$500 over the initial bank roll, lost it, and began going on a losing
streak where the dealer knocked me down to $250. I slowly built myself
back up to the initial $1000 stake before quitting the game. Point
being, this version of Blackjack is definitely got good replay value,
and I think I'm going to add some of the features of this Blackjack
game to my own.

Cheers!

Re: [Audyssey] De Steno releases windows game.

2011-12-07 Thread Thomas Ward
Hi Shane,

Yeah, that sounds about right. I think I was using Jaws 4.02 around
2001 or 2002. At least 10 years ago. However, I do understand because
of the cost of access technology how something like that could get so
far behind, and why someone might be reluctant to upgrade. That's
exactly why I'm switching to NVDA because it saves me the cost of
Jaws SMA upgrades per year.

Of course, in Jim's case there is no easy way to upgrade from Jaws
4.02 to Jaws 13. As I recall after a person misses a certain number
of upgrades or SMA licenses Freedom Scientific requires him/her to
purchase a new copy of Jaws at the normal retail price, and of course
they don't have an easy payment plan like GW Micro so the person has
to come up with the full amount on their own.

Cheers!

I agree with Ryan on this one, maybe a seperate area or two
accessible for those above a certain level. past level 7, at this point
the challenge is not much with all the weapons at your disposal.
As the game matures and evolves, these kind of balance issues can be
dealt with.
One minor thing here, the mouse4 is not working here to allow me to
assign the mouse wheel button. all other commands in the INI file are
working fine. tried mouse3 as well, no luck.
also, once again, if you like the game and spend lots of hours on the

Hey everyone,

I don't think anyone has mentioned it here, but there's a new flight sim
coming out called Zero Sight. It's got lots of features that the current
flight sim does not, though some of the things in the takeoff trailer makes
me wonder if it is an actual sim. I also wonder what aircraft your flying as
I'm sure taking off in any aircraft, no matter if it's war or otherwise,
requires more effort than this trailer demonstrates.
Anyway, check out the information on the game and the trailer here.

Go down 3 times press letter X. And then go down 2 times and X again.
That's it.

Hey Yohandy and all.

This is great, just what I need. One thing though, where on the menu is
practice mode?

Thanks much.

Hi again.

I too am interested in whatever tips you can give on the settings you
mention and on the MK menus in general. Unfortunately because of the
way that the menus are shown, in particular the color contrast my wife
cannot read them well at all so my knowledge of the MK menus is real
real limited. Fortunately this seems to be limited to the MK menus as
she can read most other menus for the PS3 just fine.

Game on.

Hey Tom,
I totally agree. in fact, don't just beat the AI, but beat the thing on
the hardest setting possible in the game, and do it consistently. Also
a very important thing is, learn everything about your particular
character of choice. For example my character is scorpion, and I'm
always looking to learn new things for him. Learn their main strengths
and weaknesses. their ranges. what's safe on block and what isn't, what
are their combos. what can you string together and what moves will do
the most massive amount of damage? Practice mode is real useful for
this type of thing. there's a setting that'll force the CPU opponent to
autoblock, and another setting that'll give you unlimited meter. 2
extremely useful options that should be used to train and get better at
the game. if the AI can block it, so can anyone else. and best thing of
all you can do is, go online. a lot. against totally random people.
after a few beatings, you'll start noticing improvements. hahaha

Hey Yohandy.

Oh I understand it is hard to explain. Pretty much what I tell people
looking to get into mainstream games is of course get good at fighting
the AI first before you worry too much about going online and going up
against people or you may get discouraged and give up. I am frankly
still at that stage myself but that is largely because I only have a
limited amount of hours I am willing/able to put into learning these
things and as you rightly point out this is very important. This is
why I refer to myself as more or less a casual mainstream gamer. I
really enjoy it, in fact I enjoy my mainstream games as much as or
more than most of my accessible ones, but do not pretend to be very
good at it most of the time. Yeah I can just imagine how that match
went for you lol. As you can no doubt tell from when this message is
being sent I am up at a barbaric hour getting ready to leave for work
but once my schedule lets up after this next couple weeks I will
hopefully really be able to sit down and devote more time to my newer
titles Rock Band and MK 9.

Game on.

Tom,
That's actually rather hard to explain. Remember, you're fighting a
human being, not a machine. And us humans aren't too predictable a
lot of the time, especially if the person's a really good player.
Lots of times it comes down to gut instinct and reaction time. It's
not like fighting CPU where you're like ok they're weak to this
attack, so I'll exploit it. many times experience plays a huge roll
as well, and how many hours an individual is willing to sink into the
game. A good example is when I fought some guy online with like 2500
wins, 200 losses. on ranked! guess how that match ended for me? and
no I'm not exaggerating either. I had a sighted person here check
that out. hahahaha

Hi Angela,

What kind of processor and what Windows version are you using? I've
tried NVDA on a 32-bit system running Windows 7 and NVDA works fine.
When I try it with the game on a 64-bit system running Windows 7 and
it has troubles with the game. I'm trying to determine if this is due
to the platform or simply a configuration problem with NVDA on the
64-bit system.

Cheers!
