Hi Paul,

Sounds like a damaged cab file. Although, you aren't the only one to
get this error. I've had two or three other complaints like yours, but
yet when I've tried it everything worked fine. A few others like
myself had no problem. If you aren't able to get it to work with your
cab file write me off list and I'll give you my copy via Dropbox or
Sendspace which I know works.

can not be installed because the file can not be found in cabinet file
 rssolo.cab

Just to let you know the steps I followed in case I've just done it wrong,
first I inserted the real speak CD, copied the rssolo cabinet file(this
was
one of (4 files on the cd, the others wher auto run, real speak solo set
 up,
real speak solo, I left these 3 files alone) I then pasted the copied rs
solo file in a new file I created in my documents called real. Then I
copied your real speak installation to the new real folder I had created
then clicked the program and run the installer selecting typical install
when prompted. It was about 10 to 15 seconds after clicking install that
I
 get the above message.

Any help you could offer would be much appreciated.

I remember I had this Haunted House game for Dos, and I tried

Hi to all.
We have a wee system.
Just was wondering if the handheld units for the wee system have a USB
connector to see if they would work with the hand to ear products via the
computer.

In short,
1. does the wee handheld units have a usb plug on the end of them and if so,
would they be able to plug them into the pc via the usb ports on thw pc
tower?
2. After if they can be plug into the tower via the USB port, could we or
would they work with the Hand to ear products that are starting to have USB
support written into those hand to ear products?

I thank you.

[Audyssey] Miriani player base

2012-09-14 Thread Meka White, LMP
An older email asked why Miriani's player base has gone down. I cannot speak
for others, but as a former Miriani player, I can tell you why I no longer
play.

The game says that it is rp-enforced, and for a long time, the staff
enforced it wonderfully. These days, anything goes and if your ship happens
to get blown up, or someone stuns you on a ship for hours because they are
just having a bad day in real life, then there is nothing that you as a
player can do about it. You're told to suck it up. 'It's the way I play my
character! Don't judge me! It's how a pirate acts!' Without going in to
detail about just how much bull that is, I will simply state that it is
annoying. It isn't just that something in game has happened, but it's
preventing you from continuing to play. There is nothing that you can do
when a team of griefers-and that is exactly what these problem players
are-decide that it is their duty to pull their apparent rank and become
excessive about what they do.

It is difficult to deduce what is or is not appropriate role-play on Miriani
because rules are not in place to form some kind of standard and anything
goes. Insults are freely given over the chatter channel that some will be
quick to chime in 'but that's how I rp!'. Except that it's worse than what
you find on Internet forums and makes absolutely no sense whatsoever.

I am a huge fan of role-play. I have done collaborative story writing for
years via email, forums, mushes, and instant messengers. I am all about
good characterization, fun plots, and building up a conflict. Conflicts can
be fun, and if done well, even if you come out on the losing end, you can
still feel good about your performance in the play. Unfortunately, Miriani
has become a pool where griefers freely swim and the life guards do
absolutely nothing. I blame the staff more than anything. People will
generally play within the parameters that you set for them. If they don't,
and continue to be a nuisance, then staff should bring action down. How are
players supposed to know what they should be doing if staff don't step in?
Of course, I suppose I assume that the average person isn't going to go out
of their way to be a complete jackwagon and would try to be decent, but what
do I know?

There are so many features of the game that I truly enjoy. But the griefers
and the staff's complacency in dealing with them is why I do not play there
any longer and have found something else.

Warmly,
Meka

player can do about it.

 Warmly,
 Meka

Hi Thomas,

Cool, glad that you checked that out.

BTW that is a water saver toilet with pressurized air assist. Was just told
that there is a recall on them because if the water pressure is too high it
will build up the air pressure and the bladder will explode and blow apart the

And I cheated with the other part. Yep, used a super soaker pistol. grin

[Audyssey] Storm8 games audio demo now available

2012-09-14 Thread Raul A. Gallegos
Hi, I've recorded a demo of me playing a couple of Storm8 games. In this
demo I demonstrate what the various screens look like, and then I create
a new character and show how that's done. The demo is around 80 minutes
long and doesn't have catchy sound effects or booming background noises
unless you want to count my dog groaning in the background as one.

If you don't know what Storm8 games are, they are role playing games
which you play from your iPhone, iPod Touch, or Android phone. There are
various games out such as World War, iMobsters, Vampires Live, Zombies
Live, Kingdoms Live and more. In the demo I play Vampires and Zombies.
The games are super voice over friendly and fun to play.

Oh, and BTW, my Storm8 username if you want to add me is Asmo47 for the
iPhone games I play. The Vampires clan code if you want to add my iPod
one is 4RP4CF.

The link is: https://dl.dropbox.com/u/7652029/Storm8Demo.mp3

Thanks, and happy gaming.

Hi Jim,

Oh, lovely. I can see it now. You just finish the grand daddy of all
craps, flush, and the toilet tank explodes. Now, that would make for
an exciting experience. :D

As for when the character takes a leak I sort of figured you used a
supersoker or something to make that sound. It was fairly realistic,
but just a bit too heavy for the normal guy taking a leak. Kind of
reminds me of the Adam Sandler skit where Sandler runs into the
bathroom and takes this super long leak that goes on and on forever
and it keeps getting heavier and heavier. I laughed myself sick when I
first heard that one. Lol!

Cheers!
