Hi, is there any way to delete a character I created? I do not want to take up valuable server space (okay, I'm not even sure if the AA servers store info on characters). [Audyssey] [IOS] Celtic Tribes.
Hi All. I've just discovered this fascinating and addictive game for iOS. Its name is Celtic Tribes and it has only one part which is not accessible, the map. Beside the map though, it's playable at 100%. It consists in developing a Celtic village in order to take it to a big and strong empire. Unfortunately I don't know yet. We are just in few blinds trying the game and for now we are reincforncing the village defences cause you, as a beginner, have 15 days bonus where the other agressive players can attach your baby village. I'm quite sure we can play also with out the map but in order to talk from my personal experience, I need time. I'm having some trouble finding the author's e-mail contact cause I would like to ask hime/her to fix the map, if it would be possible. Does someone help me? Hi, when I started playing Aleter Aeon a day or so ago, I started the game, and made a character and when i started to play, mush said that there was a new version and I should use the updator to get the newest release. I checked all the menus at the top of the screen window but there wasn't an option to update. How do I go about updating mush client? Keith, The server has a cleanup routine that automatically deletes old characters if they've been idle long enough. There's no worry about server space, we have tons. Other than the cleanup code, there's no way to delete characters. There's no Alter Aeon mailing list; I tried it at one point, but it never really caught on. [Audyssey] alter aeon chatting...can you turn it off?
Hi Dark and Dennis (and anyone else who knows anything aoub this). Okay, I'm doing decently in AA with a warrior theif with 1 level of mage, (don't ask me why I did that). Anyway, I found a ranger (not sure which town she was in), where she teaches a bunch of skill slike hunting, foraging and fishing. The problem is, when I am tryng to figure out what skills she teaches and what the skills basically do, a lot of cattering between other players comes across my screen, interrupting my screen reader's reading of the ranger's descriptions. Is there a way (a comannd of some sort) to shut that chatting off? I know it will lesson the impact of the game for me, but I'm really not interested in hearing about someone back stabbing someone for over 5000 points of damage. I frequently turn gossip and other channels off if I'm doing a lot of fighting or exploration, so it's quite legitimate to do that and all part of the game. Also remember that sinse you are a new character, there is the newbie channel. this is both a good place to ask questions, and also a channel you might wish to turn off from time to time. hth. type help channels in the game for more information. [Audyssey] Slapping forehead, need to know where to Download mush z and alter aeon again
Okay, I was getting a bunch of update windows from mush z saying that I should update to the newest version. I followed the gamer's list member's advice and found that the updater was not installed in my system. So, I uninstalled mush z and the alter aeon link from my system. Now, when I first started looking for mush z I eneded up downloading 4 seperate files and had to install 3 different ones for mush z to work. So, in short, could someone please tell me where I can find the Mush z client that works with windows xp and Window Eyes 7.5.4.1 and the Alter Aeon link/game link whatever. I have this game, but can't figure out how to get it to work. I was able to recruit someone, but I don't seem able to update any of my resources. [Audyssey] Reinstalled mush z, error when attempting to play aa
I reinstalled Mush z using the programs available through the blind links on the Alter Aeon site. I installed the full mush z pack and then installed the patch over the contents of the folder in the my documents folder. I hit enter on the alter aeon shortcut on the desktop and windows wanted me to find the appropriate program to open the file. I then hit enter on the mush z shortcut on the desktop after installation and it gave me an error about drop box. Any help to get this stuff resolved would be greatly appreciated. It is rather true that the mushZ soundpack page is a little confusing in which bits you need because it lists all the update patches separately that oriol puts into the pack before! the download to the actual pack itself. However, this is where audiogames.net can help, sinse on the alteraeon page of the db I have put a direct link to download just! the main setup file for the soundpack. So, uninstall everything, then just download https://dl.dropbox.com/u/2142080/mush-z.exe and install that, and you'll have everything you need, (it'll even run the check for updates option while it installs). Then you can just use the play alteraeon option from the program group and it'll instantly launche the pack and connect to alter. in the same program group you'll also find the check for updates option which you should run occasionally to see if Oriol has made any changes to the pack. hth. [Audyssey] Mush Z and Aleter Aeon error when trying to play
Okay, I installed the Msh z file from the blind section on the AlterAeon.com site and did the patch. I then updated my copy of the client. I tried to connect to the Alter Aeon game, and got the following message: --- MUSHCL~1 --Z:\Dropbox\Public\mush\worlds\alteraeon\alter_aeon.mcl contains an invalid path. --- OK --- I tried making a new world, by putting the address and port number in from the AlterAeon site, and I can connect, but I have to use the virtual mouse like I would with any other text game, it does not voice like it was when new info would come in on the output or whatever. Makes playing the game virtually impossible without getting my butt smeared all over the place. Dark, I uninstaled the mush z installation I had on my system, rebooted, and then installed the package from the link you suppolied below. It looks like the program is looking for a folder that doesn't exist. It's saying that the plugin for alteraeon is in the path it gave you. I have some backup versions on the backup mush-z page - maybe one of those packages will work better. [Audyssey] Mush client madness and another question about alter aeon
Okay, I've tried the mush z backup installation kits from the mushz site, none of them work. same error about a drop box missing invalid path or some crap like that. So, question #1 Does anyone have the contact info for the guy who developed the mush z client and the accessibility packs for alter aeon? Second: Does anyone know of a mudd client that I can use to play alter aeon that works with window eyes 7.5.4.1 Thanks I'm really getting tired of this, but alter aeon is such a great gzame. [Audyssey] Mush z alter aeon adapter's links dead
Well, I went back to the alter aeon site and started clicking around the mush z page of that site, looking to see if I could get in contact with the guy oriel, or whatever his name is. Only the links that allow download of the mush z client and the patch that was created in 2011 are available for download. All other links for his plugins give me a whoah that didn't go very well page, or whatever it is now. So, I guess unless you already have the correct setup for the mush z client, you are stuck using another client. As a Window Eyes user, mush z was the one that everyone pointed me to. So, here's the thing, are their any other sites out there that have clients that will self voice the client's text in the output window, or do I have to do everything mouse pointer searching like when I use the infocom text adventures and the other .z and tads games? Hi. Monkey Term with MTScripts works with Window-Eyes. Send tells to Mathayas on Alter Aeon that's me for help and support with it. There are links to it on the Alter Aeon website just after the links to Mush Client. I'm loged in often and I'm known for working with people to get it set up and explaining how it all works. I'll probably be releasing another version in a few days, I have an unpublished copy that I'm having people test at the moment. There are issues caused by the way that I support the mud sound protocol versis the frequency of changes to the sounds by Alter Aeon staffmembers, such that every time a single sound is changed my pack is in need of updating, and updating requires sorting through more than 400 sound files to try and figure out what was changed as I haven't gotten Dentin to create a listing of recently changed files just yet. No hard feelings toward him on that either, as the big issue is the way I'm supporting msp, but other than that it's the best way to go at it that I know of on account of it's being more responsive do to not having to search multiple folders for sounds. The last released version of MTScripts 5.1.5.4 or 5154 plays loads of buzzing noises throughout play do to the fact that Alter Aeon is trying to play sounds that don't exist. I've been waiting for development of sounds to slow down a bit before I release another one in the hopes that it wouldn't do the exact same thing just a few days after I got it out the door.
