Re: [Audyssey] more audion apps for IOS?

2013-06-15 Thread Dakotah Rickard
The great thing about the iPhone is that it's blurring the line
between audiogames and mainstream gaming. In fact, mainstream
developers are beginning to understand that an audiogame can be quite
fun.
All I can say is that the standard recommendation to check AppleVis is
a good one.

Are there any other audio games for the iPhone 4S other than Sixth

 Hi,

I think the idea of voting for games and then having the list of the
 most
popular games is a great idea. I remember when I first got into audio
 games
there were so many and I didn't know which ones were some of the
best/most popular and this would have been a great way of finding out.

Hi Kelly,

The Showcase installs into its own program folder. Its a totally
separate program from Change Reaction and Silver Dollar so it won't
effect anything else you have installed. :D

2013-06-15 Thread Phil Vlasak

Hi Draconis,
I enjoyed the SilverDollar in the ShowCase, except it demonstrated only two
of the three dames.
I enjoyed trying out the bunching game but though the voice was too male. I
guess that what happens when a gal looses too many teeth.
In the second demo, it sounded like Mitzzy was shooting those dinner plates
and such right outa the air, good shootin' but I thought demitasse saucers
would be the smallest to hit.

Now to the one I didn't get to hear.
I could not find information about Spending a little time at the one-armed
bandit.

Who is this bandit and why does she only have one arm?
Is this like the guy in the Fugitive.
And what can I do with her?
Pulling her one arm doesn't seem like very much fun.
Sincerely,
Clueless in Michigan.

Greetings gamers,

A couple of announcements that should please many of you.

Draconis Entertainment is pleased to announce the release of SilverDollar
for Windows! Previously available for Mac OS X, this collection of mini
games returns gamers to the SilverDollar Saloon, the popular watering hole
for outlaws and gunslingers alike, featured in many Draconis titles. Start
a brawl, prove yourself a gunslinger, or knock back a couple while trying
your luck at the one-armed bandit. SilverDollar is available for just
$1.99 from the Draconis website. DracoEnt.com

Additionally, we are now offering a way to try out titles created with the
next-generation Draconis game engine with the release of the Draconis Show
Case. This stand-alone application provides information, audio
demonstrations, and a chance to try out some of the features and game play
of next-generation Draconis games. You can find out more at the Trials

The Show Case is a stand-alone app. When you run it, you navigate the menus

We felt this was a much better way to offer demos that satisfies both our

I know it allows you to try both Silver Dollar and Change Reaction 2,

would it effect the already-installed games, or are the demos installed

Hi,

I just bought Silver Dollar immediately after reading about it on this
list, and am very impressed! I also downloaded the Showcase program for
Windows to see what it's like, but have a question before installing it. I
know it allows you to try both Silver Dollar and Change Reaction 2, both
of which I already have, but if I were to install the showcase, would it
effect the already-installed games, or are the demos installed in a
separate folder? It would be interesting to see how the demos compare to
the full versions.

Thanks, and keep up the great work!

Ron, as far as I know your keys for older titles will still work. They
do for me and I purchased them only recently. I do hope they keep the
old titles up though because they are just classics. I know they have
kept the old Change Reaction (you can see an article on this on their

Re: [Audyssey] SilverDollar for Windows and next-generation game trialsare here

2013-06-15 Thread Ron Kolesar

The silver dollar saloon rocks.
I need a little more practice at fighting though. GRIN.
But I did manage to get to round two with a score of 1,105 points.
Now has anyone beattin that score yet in the demo? GRIN.
I'm still waiting for my new credit card to come in the snail mail.
But I probably will be picking up the great game.
Now will my older keys work for say outback, or would I have to purchase new
keys for the games that I already have?
Many Thanks for this demo while I wait for the credit card to come in the
snail-mail.

Tell her that other gamers say that the games are great. Tell her that if
you can see how they operate, it might give you ideas for other games for
you to produce, which might bring income. Even though the last angle might

Hi Josh,

Let me congratulate you on a job well done. I'm glad to see yet
another game ported to Windows from Mac, and I think the Draconis
Showcase is a great solution for the demonstration software problem.
It lets the potential customer trial the software without giving too
much away, and no way for them to crack the demo and get a full copy
of the game seeing as the showcase is merely a series of small game
demos that can't be unlocked. I'm truly impressed with your latest
releases. Now, I have to convince my wife Change Reaction and Silver
Dollar is what I want for Father's Day tomorrow. :D

Cheers!

Hi,

I think the idea of voting for games and then having the list of the most
popular games is a great idea. I remember when I first got into audio
games

there were so many and I didn't know which ones were some of the
best/most popular and this would have been a great way of finding out.

2013-06-15 Thread Charles Rivard
As Draconis has been kind of hush hush about what's coming or being worked
on, I doubt it. But this showcase is a good solution to the issue that was
discussed earlier on the list about whether to provide demos for games. I
think the showcase fills the bill, and I'll bet they did a lot of
considering before taking this route that, I think, will work.

Thanks, Draconis, for all your work on game creation, customer service, and
good advertising of current products!

Not sure I entirely understand your question. If you mean the Show Case app, it
will be updated to demo other titles as they are released, and we will probably
release multiple volumes over time to keep the downloads from being unwieldy.
We do not pre-announce titles, and have no plans to change that.

Hi Phil,

The Microsoft Visual Studio version 6 program that creates the setup.exe
install thing is not the most screen reader friendly thing to use, so I
have not up dated the winkit.zip file since I put it up on my site back in
May of 2003.

The winlife5.exe is the up date to the game menu program and the game of
Life. And yes, by default it will over write the older files.
