Hi Charles,

I here you there. With so many games out there I'm not sure how some
people can focus on any specific game and say it is their absolute
favorite. For me it depends on my mood, and interest at the time.

For example, this week I have been playing a rather extensive
championship tournament in Wrestling League Simulator. Okay, I like
the game, and am heavily invested in it this week, but I know next
week I'll probably get interested in something else. I don't focus on
any game long enough to have any specific favorite so to speak. It all
depends what I want at that moment in time. :D

Cheers!

Re: [Audyssey] replying to what my favorite game is

2013-08-22 Thread Thomas Ward
Hi Charles,

Yes, that is a fair comparison. I think most of us like different
foods, have many favorites, and that would be like asking someone if
they like pizza more than chocolate cake. As I happen to like both
that is a non-sense question because I never thought about it that
way. I would simply answer I like both.

The same logic applies to games. As I said earlier on list my favorite
game is the one I happen to be playing at the time. Otherwise I don't
really have an absolute favorite.

grown immensely popular there among a good lot of people, and I hope
once you hear this recording you'll see why. How to play Japanese games
if you don't speak the language has already been explained... and this
game is perhaps the closest thing to a j-rpg game that we have access to
right now. You can listen to the first part of the let's play att:

https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/3394499/shadow%20line%20let%27s%20play/shadow%20line%20lp%20part%201.mp3
Let me know what you think! I love this game, as with many of the other
great Japanese games we've recently found, and wish for more people to
give these things a try. If there is interest, I will put a link up to
the setup file. Enjoy!

Re: [Audyssey] Shadow Line let's play / walkthrough

2013-08-22 Thread Sarah Haake

Hi,

I started to play this game just after I read the guide to japanese games. I
already knew most of it, but now I'm using Protalker too which makes things
a bit smoother, additionally I also got the Applocale which finally gets rid
of all the jibberish on my screen. :D Shadowline is a really great game. I
played the first part up to the fairy abode, unfortunately I have not much
time for such things as playing games right now, but I deffinitely will
continue play this.

Thanks for the recording, I'll listen to it for sure and I hope there are
more parts coming. Although I think I'll only listen up to the point where
I'm at now or when I get stuck to avoid spoilers. :D

Best regards
Sarah

I've had a lot of trouble mudding on the mac. It seems slow and cumbersome.
Mudder is the only client I've tried though.

Harmony, if you have instructions, I'd appreciate having them.

[Audyssey] Two text adventures found.

2013-08-22 Thread michael barnes

Hello, All.

I have found two text adventures for the iOS, Android, and the Kendel.
The games are free.
They are by Chris Radford.
The first one is The forgotten nightmare, and the second one is call
The forgotten nightmare 2.

Here is the description on both games from the iTunes app store.

The Forgotten Nightmare is an all text adventure game. Going against
modern game evolution, this game has no graphics at all (aside from the
map). It is a playable story which uses your imagination to paint the
pictures. It is not simply a multiple choice game but has the ability
to accept full commands with seemingly endless and often comical responses.

This Christian themed story set in the not so distant future starts
with an accident that causes you to lose all memory of not only where
you are, but who you are as well. You find yourself in an abandoned
town in Canada. But why? As you explore the area, the number of
questions seem to mount while the number of answers seem to dwindle.

“The Forgotten Nightmare II: A New Reality” is the second chapter in a
series of all text (Interactive Fiction) adventure games. Going against
modern game evolution, the only graphics you will have is a map. It is
a playable story which uses your imagination to paint the pictures. It
is not simply a multiple choice game but has the ability to accept full
commands with seemingly endless and often comical responses.

In the first chapter (The Forgotten Nightmare), an accident causes you
to lose all memory of world events and even your own personal life.
With your memory now returned, you find yourself a passenger heading to
an unknown destination with Jack and Robert as your new companions.
Since the great disappearance over three years ago, no city, town or
village has escaped the fallout and your escape is hindered by an
unexpected turn of events.

Since this installment is a continuation of the story, it is highly
recommended that you download the first chapter which is available as a
free download – It is simply called "The Forgotten Nightmare".

Re: [Audyssey] Two text adventures found.

2013-08-22 Thread michael barnes

Well, Charles.
The games work just like other text adventures.
The map is for those who can see, but the games are fully playable with
voice over.

Just give the games a try since they are free of charge.
You can help the developer with the games if there is something that
can be improve by contacting him.

Here is the website www.theforgottennightmare.com

First, what's Hamachi? Second, I hope the dev makes this game
self-voicing, because Jaws doesn't read anything when I move around with
the arrow keys, which I have to do by using a key passthrough, so I can't
tell what's what. Tha game sounds awesome though.

Hi all well, it looks like the first time we are actually talking
about dragon pong on the list? Lol. But I wanna let y'all know I have
a dragon pong server up. I can tell you it works, me and Dick, aka
Roelvdwal from audiogames.net have played a few games, but for some
reason I got disconnected from him a while back. So if you want to
connect, here is the 411 on it note you need to have hamachi installed
look at the tutorial on bipassing port forwarding on the dragonapps
website under dragon pong for a download link for it. If you already
have it. Just go to the network menu alt+n and go to join network and
enter this stuff.
name
a dragon pong server
password
dragonapps
now when you connect, stay connected for a while I may not be hosting
the actual game just yet but be patient I haven't even had breakfast
yet lol. But in the game enter this stuff
port
2620
ip
25.196.94.178
For those who haven't heard of this game, it is a game similar to
showdown/tabletennis it isn't actually showdown because sometimes when
someone serves or returns the ball the crowd goes nuts unlike in
showdown, and being Ghorthalon has powerups as well! It can only be
played online. However Mason made a kind of clone called mtg pong
offline version of dragon pong. But you won't get the same experience
because he tweeked some things and most of the sounds excluding the
crowd have been changed. Anyway, okay let me know when connected.
