I had a sod walkthrough back when I was able to bash my way through sod.
Right now though I have lost it as I have lost a lot of things over the years.
I had an old strat guide it was on audiogames.net but I have lost my coppy.
It may have been from sod 1.0.

sometimes if you level enough then you may be able to kill him 
sometimes you can never do so.

Sometimes one of him is weak and sometimes both are.

Hi Lori,

While I do think that would have been interesting I'm kind of glad
Raul didn't do that. The reasoning is I think he wanted to leave some
surprises in the game for those who had never played before, and he
wanted them to work out their own strategy for beating the bosses. In
that I agree because I do think it is a good idea to leave some
surprises rather than give it all away in one audio walkthrough.

[Audyssey] Reguarding Temperal Disturbance

Guys,  I think that this topic has caused more drama then it is worth.
There is no point fighting about something as worthless as this statement
that someone said.  This is causing problems between those that would
normally speak freely and so I suggest that we all move on. But before we
do,  I will attempt to resolve this,  Ishon,  first I would like to say that
what you said was totally uncalled for and should have not been said.  My
advice is to think before you say something.  You may have been meaning well
but the way that you probably phrased this could have been phrased a lot
better. Simply saying that a person's walkthroughs/recordings are a "wastage
of time." Is not something nice to say to someone even though they may not
be on this list. Also,  there is no point in making enemies on this list as
all speak what they want and just because someone disagrees with you doesn't
make them your enemy.  Raul may or may not be on the list but if he heard
what you said, it would have caused some problems.  And as for you guys,
stop making this more dramatic then it has to be,  just ignore it and move
on.  Think about it this way,  I bet some or most of you went to a
mainstream school.  So this is just the same as being made fun of for being
blind or visually impaired or what ever disability you have.  The statement
that he said was not cool but you know,  all you have to do is act like you
did not here it and just move on.  I sincerely hope that this helped and I

[Audyssey] question about mush client

Hi, i've been using mush client eexclusively to play muds online.  Started 
out with alteraeon (which is the game that mush client was designed for), 
but I have also played cyberassault and Toril: the sojourner's home) as well 
on it.


I recently uninstalled it because the mush client was acting buggy and the 
window's title bar said "HO" instead of Toril when I would play that game.


I downloaded the full install from
http://backup.mush-z.com/

When I install it though, the installer does fine and I am then confronted 
with an option to add jaws support, which I do not install.  I click close 
when the successful install screen comes up.


The client then does an auto update to the newest version and tells me that 
the update is successful and the changelog opens in notepad.  I read it and 
closed it.


The thing is a window that has the title bar stating "setup" is still on the 
screen,  along with a window that has the location of the mush client 
subfolders.


I cannot close either one of these windows and even using windows task 
manager can't close these window.


Am i supposed to simply wait for these windows to close?

Window eyes cannot read any text in either window, so I am at a loss.

Also, when I try and enter the log on info for toril, I hit the combo for 
"new" under the file menu option in mush client after restarting my system 
(without closing those windows) and the output  buffer opens (which should 
be a shift control  o command, but the "new" command is shift control N.


Any suggestions?

I enjoyed it myself, and even if I didn't I'd explain why not just call it

I disagree charlse at least as regards shades of doom, sinse though the 
game can be played with stratogy and forthought, it's also possible to get 
through (as the manual says), with a quick ear and good coorindation, thus 
learning a few basic rules and applying them might help a great deal, sinse 
that will just give you the tools needed for the game.


To take one example, If you are coming up to a corner and  you hear a 
monster round it, instead of just walking up to the corner and turning, go 
up to one wall, turn towards it and sidestep along, meaning that as soon 
as you get out into the open of the corner you have a much less wide 
turning circle to turn and shoot the monster. This is relatively easy to 
apply and doesn't take rocket science.


Even with games like time of conflict,  general advice and aide in 
understanding the game can be hugely helpful, why do you think there are 
so many books about chess and people to even teach you play better.


This to me is the difference between a walkthru nd a playthru. A walkthbru 
explains what is going on and what stratogy is being used, and is an 
entertaining listen even to people who have finished the game just for 
differences in technique. A playthru on the other hand, just recording the 
games' audio and nothing else is far less engaging sinse unless you 
understand much of the game already it won't give you any hints or tips, 
just show you how one person happens to finish the game.

Well said Amada. So far Ishan is the only person I've ever heard call any of 
Raul's walkthroughs wastes of time. I for one found them very informative. 
My guessise just doesn't like challenge, in which case GMA's games would 
probably not be the best games for him.

Lol Lori, the reason I said I wasn't sure if it was a complement or not is 
that I wasn't sure if you were comparing me to a ravening monster :D.


It is actually a little ironic that most of the voicing I've done for games 
has been for villainus characters, while most of the characters I've played 
on stage (with me being a tenor and doing light opera), have either been 
either romantic or commical, and often both. Then again that is why I enjoy 
the characterization side of singing.

Well Ishen as i have said, the temporal disturbance is there for challenge, 
and no, you shouldn't need to completely restore from a save game if it gets 
you (check your coordinates).


As to immoticons, well I don't actually know if outlook express can do them 
or not, though to be honest I've never cared enough to find out. The only 
expression I use is :D and most people know what that means.

Yep, it's quite unusual in that that is the only instant of h2g2 where you 
hear two verses, indeed if I remember rightly you can only get through that 
part by requesting anotherverse from the captain, otherwise he just blasts 
you and you lose the game.


I'm fairly sure if you google the text of the poem you can find the full 
thing, alternatively you could! try playing through the Infocom h2g2 game, 
accept that it is probably one of the single most frustrating instances of 
entirely random puzzles I've ever! seen, one reason why I probably won't be 
playing through it again myself.

I disagree charlse at least as regards shades of doom, sinse though the game 
can be played with stratogy and forthought, it's also possible to get 
through (as the manual says), with a quick ear and good coorindation, thus 
learning a few basic rules and applying them might help a great deal, sinse 
that will just give you the tools needed for the game.


To take one example, If you are coming up to a corner and  you hear a 
monster round it, instead of just walking up to the corner and turning, go 
up to one wall, turn towards it and sidestep along, meaning that as soon as 
you get out into the open of the corner you have a much less wide turning 
circle to turn and shoot the monster. This is relatively easy to apply and 
doesn't take rocket science.


Even with games like time of conflict,  general advice and aide in 
understanding the game can be hugely helpful, why do you think there are so 
many books about chess and people to even teach you play better.


This to me is the difference between a walkthru nd a playthru. A walkthbru 
explains what is going on and what stratogy is being used, and is an 
entertaining listen even to people who have finished the game just for 
differences in technique. A playthru on the other hand, just recording the 
games' audio and nothing else is far less engaging sinse unless you 
understand much of the game already it won't give you any hints or tips, 
just show you how one person happens to finish the game.
