one thing to remember though is that the more you upgrade power ups in the

Teresa, awesome stash of cash girl! :)

Have you gotten / upgraded all the weapons you want?

I have the Revolver, Micro SMG, Shotgun, Hunting Rifle, Tactical Rifle and
Sonic Canon, Wok, Banjo and Cattle Prod all upgraded to max (level 4) but
only have one upgrade on the power-ups (airdrop frequency) at the moment.

I tend to use the tactical rifle as my goto gun ;) and either the sonic
canon or the hunting rifle as a backup along with the cattle prod.

Which weapons do you have at the moment? Which are your favs?

Congrats on the big money! :)

Cara :)

Re: [Audyssey] Girls with guns -was- Re: Confused About Power-Ups in Audio Defence

2014-11-30 Thread Teresa Cochran
Hi, Cara,

I have all the ones you mentioned. I upgraded my faves to level 4: the machine
gun and the banjo. I'm working on the rocket launcher, which is nice. :) I
think I'll stick to the rocket launcher, machine gun, and banjo. Sonic cannon
is a one-shot deal and makes a lot of noise, even when loading. That puts me
off. The banjo upped to level 4 is simply awesome. I can zilch a Collossus in
thirteen bashes if it gets too close. LOL This game rox!

[Audyssey] Girls with guns -was- Re: Confused About Power-Ups in Audio Defence

2014-11-30 Thread Cara Quinn
Teresa, awesome stash of cash girl! :)

Have you gotten / upgraded all the weapons you want?

I have the Revolver, Micro SMG, Shotgun, Hunting Rifle, Tactical Rifle and
Sonic Canon, Wok, Banjo and Cattle Prod all upgraded to max (level 4) but only
have one upgrade on the power-ups (airdrop frequency) at the moment.

I tend to use the tactical rifle as my goto gun ;) and either the sonic canon
or the hunting rifle as a backup along with the cattle prod.

Which weapons do you have at the moment? Which are your favs?

Congrats on the big money! :)

Cara :)

2014-11-30 Thread Teresa Cochran
Thanks, Dark. :) I'm doing pretty well for myself. *smug face First, the
tactical rifle kicked butt, then the machine gun! They like me. :) I'll try
double-tapping on the power-up. That's the step I indeed missed. Cara, I
haven't tried it yet, but the description screens have a close button in the
upper left you can double-tap.

Lol Tom, missed an S.

Though thinking about it what is wrong with eating a desert? At the
seaside there are stil sticks of rock, you canhave rocky mountain
chocolate fudge cake, rocky road cake (or ice cream), baked Alaska,
snowball cake, not to mention cottage pie, so hay eating a desert really
isn't that bad :D.

HI Dark,

How do you get off of those screens once on them? I upgraded airdrop frequency
but the screen has no way of leaving it then. I actually need to exit the game
in order to exit that screen.

How do you manage it?

Thanks,

Hi Bryan,

Well, Dr Thunder should taste as good as Dr Pepper since it is the
exact same soda sold under a different name. I have heard some people
say they taste different to them, but I've have never noticed a
difference myself. Plus if one cares to look at the ingredients on the
bottle everything is the same. About the only difference is where they
are bottled and the label on the bottle from what I can tell.

Cheers!

Re: [Audyssey] Confused About Power-Ups in Audio Defence

2014-11-30 Thread dark

Hi Teresa.

the power up upgrade screen is a little different to the standard one, you
need to first double tap the name of the power up you want to upgrade, then
just as with weapons the description box will pop up for you to spend coins
and upgrade it.

I don't know why the dimmed upgrade buttons are there, but it's certainly
possible to upgrade power ups, indeed with all the coins and diamonds you
have you can probably level them all to max streight off, I'm quite
impressed at your titles, I've not spend quite that much time with the game
and am still working to unlock all the weapons.

BEware the grue!

Hi Nicol,

By name brand soda I am talking about sodas that are well known by a
specific brand name like Dr Pepper, Coke, Pepsi, Sprite, Mountain Dew,
etc. By off brand or generic I am talking about sodas that are sold by
a store under a different brand name but is essentially the same thing
as a more well known brand of soda.

For example, here in the USA if someone goes into Walmart they can buy
things like Dr Thunder which is Walmart's version of Dr Pepper,
Mountain Lightning which is Walmart's version of Mountain Dew, Cherry
Cola which is Walmart's version of Cherry Coke, etc. Basically, off
brands are more or less the same thing as the bigger well known name
brands but are marketed by a store like Walmart under a different
brand name or label usually for a lower cost.

Cheers!

Hi tom
This is very interesting.
This is what soda roughly cost in south africa as well.
1 dollar equals to 10 south african rand.
So then it means that 89 cents must be 8 rand 90 cents in south africa.
So a 2 litre bottle of soda in south africa costs more or less what it
costs in the US.
What is the difference between name brand and off brand soda?
I never heard of the term off brand soda before.

[Audyssey] Surprising Find: Original DUngeons and Dragons

Hi All,

So I was browsing Bookshare last night, not sure what i would find. On a whim,
I did a search for “Dungeons & Dragons.”

I was surprised to find some of the original D&D rulebooks from the 1970s. I
don’t know how these ended up on Bookshare, or who might have wanted them or
scanned them, but it’s cool for a tabletop gamer like myself. I wish more RPG
stuff were available freely there. :)

Enjoy,

Well I for one don't care they went out of business.
I wanted the games, sure, but after downloading them from a server I
had access to and playing them I found that I couldn't play them all
that much before I got tired of them.
After I began the upgrade to 7 and after hearing all the things about
bavisoft and the fact they would have issues with modern systems, I
decided to cut my losses and kill them.

Which I did.
At least this way I got them for free and not spent 80 bucks on cds
which I would hav either put away or chucked in the bin ages ago.
They were good when everyone was experimenting but really we didn't
have sapi back then as such.

Cheers!

I liked some of the commic acting for the characters, but I agree once done

produced with a simplistic idea of the capabilities both of blind people and
of audio, indeed back when I bought the games in 2006 it was actually

then unfortunately I finished Chillingham in one night and discovered most

Re: [Audyssey] jim's pizza game

2014-11-30 Thread dark
I remember watching it and the second film several times back in the day and
I even had an audio tape with the description, however I've not seen it for
absolutely years.

Then again, after the first two seasons Ninja turtles seemed to go way
off the rails, lot of random characters especially weerd aliens, less
concentration on the turtles living in the sewers as a public menace and
more of them going elsewhere and far sillier plots generally, and though i
absolutely loved the cartoon up to that point, i found that I lost interest
later.

It's ironic, I usually keep an interest in most things I saw as a child,
heck the dungeons and dragons cartoon has pretty awsome writing quality (I
have it on dvd), and it still surprises me now watching he man and the
masters of the universe just how much plot vs action there is (not always
astoundingly good plot, but a surprising amount).

I don't know what happened to turtles whether they just had a writers strike
or ran out of ideas.

Hi dark and others,
A few other games that might be interesting to some and that are
accessible and browser based.
First of all torn city (google for it and you will find it) its a
multiplayer crime-based rpg like game. I liked it for a while
Now the game fallen londen and the other games by the seem company you can
find them if you google for storynexus.com these
are mostly singeplayer. I especially liked fallen london although it does
not seem to be updated as much anymore but still with all the content that
is available it will keep you busy for quite a while.

I've not heard of Eagis specifically, but there are a lot of those styles

more interesting than watching a bunch of static timers and playing who
can grind the fastest against other human players, then again I'm
much more a single player sort of bod anyway.

Puppet nightmares is a browser based game, sort of like a dark and
twisted version of Pokemon.dark and slightly adult version of Pokemon.

You collect, control and breed magical creatures called soul puppets,
going through a story about a child in germany who has lost his/her
brother and finds that they were involved with a certainly very dark and
magical game.

The game is slightly adult (it has for example a brothel where soul
puppets may breed and lay egs to produce new ones), and also horribly
complex.

You control three puppets at once and usually fight parties of three
enemies, each can have their own actions, with different moves, diciplins
etc, in addition each has equipment, elemental weaknesses and all sorts
of other complexity.

The only really major issue with the game is that there isn't much by way
of explanitory text, the battles, though mechanically very complex all
have descriptions like "jo uses wind hammer on jane for 280 damage" and
though there are lots of npcs to talk to and do quests for, you just get
their dialogue and not the descriptions.

It's a game where though the rules and mechanics are all accessible, some
of the atmosphere is imho a bit lost. Still, it is free to play although
it has a very fare system of donation currency and is definitely one if
you like tactical turn based battling and a slightly disturbing story.

I'd recommend you look at
http://www.audiogames.net/db.php?id=Puppet+nightmares sinse the web pages
require some navigation having hotspots, mouseovers and links, although
everything in the game is labeled and accessible, it just helps to know
your screen readers' web navigation tools to speed up looking through
headings, buttons, mouseovers etc.

Hi, I have never heard of puppet nightmares, what is that?
Aegis (it used to be called differently in the past i forgot its
original title) is a sort of empire building game where you start with a
small piece of land and you have to make more of it while feeding your
population/keeping it happy and defending your lands. It works with
resources and you build buildings in order to creat them and for example
to be able to get different kind of trained soldiers. You also build
things like walls to defend your land. You can become part of a clan.

Power ups work in different ways. The tesla coil will kill the closest
zombie and will spark to any zombies near him, while the fireworks provide a

one thing to remember though is that the more you upgrade power ups in the

sinse at the start it can only kill a couple of zombies but with more
upgrades can become much more destructive.

Sadly not that I've found thus far, actually where as there is a lot on A
Dark room there isn't on The Ensign, which is a shame sinse as I said I keep
getting killed at the same point which is irritating.

Hey dark are there no strategy guides or wikis for the ensign?
I am certainly going to finish a dark room first before even attemping
that one.

Re: [Audyssey] A dark room.

2014-11-30 Thread dark

Hi Anouk.

glad your enjoying the game, it is a very awsome one and one of my
favourites.

Beware! spoilage ahoy!

If you haven't visited the swamp, do so after you have the gem for another
special surprise, the compass will point you there as your last destination.

The Lockit helps you find alien alloy, the brighter it glows, the closer
you are to a bore hole or battlefield (though on rare occasions you can also
find alien alloy in the city).

Enjoy the end of the game, then after you finish you can try hard mode, and
The Ensign, which is harder still.

all the best,

Dark.

[Audyssey] some other accessible browser based games that might be interesting Re: browser empire game, rise of chaos

2014-11-30 Thread Anouk Radix
Hi dark and others,
A few other games that might be interesting to some and that are accessible and
browser based.
First of all torn city (google for it and you will find it) its a multiplayer
crime-based rpg like game. I liked it for a while
Now the game fallen londen and the other games by the seem company you can find
them if you google for storynexus.com these are mostly
singeplayer. I especially liked fallen london although it does not seem to be
updated as much anymore but still with all the content that is available it
will keep you busy for quite a while.

Re: [Audyssey] grizly gulch

2014-11-30 Thread Thomas Ward
Hi Bryan,

Agreed. Not only the lack of tech support, but Grizzly Gulch isn't
that good a game to begin with. The game quite literally has no replay
value at all beside the card games in the saloon. I found it rather
boring as a game, and wouldn't recommend it to anyone even if it were
free.

Cheers!

Re: [Audyssey] jim's pizza game

2014-11-30 Thread Thomas Ward

Cheers!
