[Audyssey] FWD Accessible game

2015-03-09 Thread Jim Kitchen

Hello,

We are the creators of an online text based RPG called Torn City (
www.torn.com

We're one of the larger text-based browser games out there, appealing
largely to the VI community. We spent many hours making sure the game was
WAI compliant so it can be enjoyed by those using screen reader
technologies.

Our game is in-depth, strategic and fun. Most importantly, it's totally
free to play.

Hi,

I have a question, I just signed up for the game. Yes it's accessible
but it seems a bit sluggish and cluttered. Is there a setting in
preferences that can make it a bit easier to navigate. I.E. is there
a mobile site that's a bit less clunky? I'm liking the game so far.
thanks,

Dacia

2015-03-09 Thread dark

Hi Jim.

Odd, we just got a message on audiogames.net about the same game, indeed
they were asking for an entry in the db even though Torn City has been
listed there for years, though I have no problem with anyone who wants
to advertise their accessible games, albeit I have tried torn several times
and it didn't really appeal to me personally both because of the mean
streets and crime ethos that doesn't really do much for me, and because I
don't have much interest in battling other players which does make up a
large portion of the game.

All the best,

Dark.;

and wondrous strange and there are more things benieth the stars than even
the archmaesters of the citadel can dream.

As I remember you can use the mobile site on the front page, and there are
various options in preferences for a number of customizations that might
help.

I seem to remember the "Classic layout" option was useful but it is a couple
of years sinse I last tried the game myself.

Does anyone know where to go to set the preferences or is there
somewhere specifically to go to access the mobile site?

thanks,
