[Audyssey] if not the cheat codes then maybe some file editing in TDV
Hi there, guys. I was asking about cheat codes for TDV. Well, if not the cheat codes, then, maybe some one knows in what files there could be some editing done so that the aircraft culd be made invisible or the fuel could never end. I mean changing some data so that if would effect the gameplay. --- Gamers mailing list __ Gamers@audyssey.org If you want to leave the list, send E-mail to gamers-unsubscr...@audyssey.org. Re: [Audyssey] if not the cheat codes then maybe some file editing in TDV
I'm pretty sure those save files are not easily editable. If you really wanna change the course of the game, you should try using a trainer program like Cheatomatic, or have a look at the sourcecode. Generally though, I would like to know, you're not using the afterburners in mission mode, right? Because if you are, that's a fast road to getting your fuel used up before you reach the end of the north0northeast course. You wanna be at around 684knots when in mission mode. If you are in a fix with constant enemy fire, you can temporarily escape it by going up to thin air, 5 feet or above to be exact, though you should know that that is an unsafe altitude and you should only stay up there for a few seconds to get away from enemy fire, and then go back down to a safe altitude. Too much time up there could result in your engine exploding. On 2/1/17, Nail Alimzhanov wrote: > Hi there, guys. I was asking about cheat codes for TDV. Jordan, The basic concept when working with zipped applications is that they will run if and only if they don't need to access any other file in the zip. TDV, for example, needs to be able to access the sound files for the game, and therefore doesn't meet this criteria. The reasoning for this is because of how archives are handled. Essentially, what's actually happening when you access a file in a zip (or any other type) archive, is that your computer copies the file you requested to access out of the archive to a temporary location. It then runs or opens that file, which is why you can view documents in an archive just fine. The problem arises when the file you just copied tries to access other files that aren't there, like sounds. Since the computer only extracts the one needed file, the others don't exist, and the program fails. In addition, the program will usually have a compromised ability to create new files, for example saved games or edited documents. This is why you should always extract archive files containing applications, unless you know for absolute certainty that those programs are self-contained, and won't read or write any other files. Just don't use your afterburners all the time, and you have practically infinit fuel. Well said Jack. The only time I used afterburners at all while playing through the game was when I was running away from enemy fighters. Even then, you don't need to. I've no idea if this will be of interest to anyone on the list, but what I believe is the world's first accessible audio cricket game has been developed for the blind. It runs under Windows, and is a simple simulation of a Twenty20 match. The game is self-voicing with realistic sound effects, and it comes pre-loaded with several international teams. You can adjust the playing strengths of the teams, as well as add new ones. I've beta tested it, and despite its simplicity, it's a pretty good game with a lot of replay value. You can either play against the computer or against a human player, though you can't at this stage play against people online. I hope the developer will add features to the game in future iterations to make it an even richer experience, but even if he doesn't, the game can hopefully serve as a proof of concept for others to get into the development of accessible sport games. You can download the game from http://www.spoonbillsoftware.com.au/bgtwenty20cricket I should say that Internet Explorer gets in a bit of a tizzy when you try and download the file, because it isn't commonly downloaded and it's worried that the file isn't safe.
