[Audyssey] if not the cheat codes then maybe some file editing in TDV

2017-02-01 Thread Nail Alimzhanov
Hi there, guys. I was asking about cheat codes for TDV. Well, if not the
cheat codes, then,
maybe some one knows in what files there could be some editing done so
that the aircraft culd be made invisible or the fuel could never end. I
mean changing some data so that if would effect the gameplay.

2017-02-01 Thread Jack Falejjczyk
I'm pretty sure those save files are not easily editable. If you
really wanna change the course of the game, you should try using a
trainer program like Cheatomatic, or have a look at the sourcecode.
Generally though, I would like to know, you're not using the
afterburners in mission mode, right? Because if you are, that's a fast
road to getting your fuel used up before you reach the end of the
north0northeast course. You wanna be at around 684knots when in
mission mode. If you are in a fix with constant enemy fire, you can
temporarily escape it by going up to thin air, 5 feet or above to
be exact, though you should know that that is an unsafe altitude and
you should only stay up there for a few seconds to get away from enemy
fire, and then go back down to a safe altitude. Too much time up there
could result in your engine exploding.

Jordan,
The basic concept when working with zipped applications is that they will
run if and only if they don't need to access any other file in the zip.
TDV, for example, needs to be able to access the sound files for the game,
and therefore doesn't meet this criteria.
The reasoning for this is because of how archives are handled.
Essentially, what's actually happening when you access a file in a zip (or
any other type) archive, is that your computer copies the file you requested
to access out of the archive to a temporary location.
It then runs or opens that file, which is why you can view documents in an
archive just fine.
The problem arises when the file you just copied tries to access other files
that aren't there, like sounds.
Since the computer only extracts the one needed file, the others don't
exist, and the program fails.
In addition, the program will usually have a compromised ability to create
new files, for example saved games or edited documents.
This is why you should always extract archive files containing applications,
unless you know for absolute certainty that those programs are
self-contained, and won't read or write any other files.

Best,
John

Oh, and make sure you unzip the folder. I did not try it zipped since I
know some programs work and some don't when they are zipped, but it was
better to play it safe, and unzip this particular one.

Ron,
There is no install process.
As with any game that runs from a zip, you simply run the executable and, if
all dependencies are in place, it runs.
I can't diagnose your particular system, but would advise checking to ensure
you can still play the demo version of tdv2.

Don't know what is going wrong here John.
Because when I click on the tdv.exe file, nothing happens.
It doesn't go through the normal install and or set up procedure where it

I've down loaded this zip folder twice now.
So, don't know why I can down load the demo, but can not access the unlocked

Just don't use your afterburners all the time, and you have practically infinit
fuel.
You can probably fly for realtime days if you don't use afterburners.

Well said Jack.
The only time I used afterburners at all while playing through the game was
when I was running away from enemy fighters. Even then,
you don't need to.
Just go up to the thin air zone, cruise for a couple minutes, and then come
back down.

No. Because of the amount of hackers and cheaters in the game,
the only way to play the online mode is to purchase a gamer
 account.
You can play offline if you wish, and some of the campaigns can
give you a good feel for the game, but there is no way to access
 multiplayer without an account.

Subject: [vi-genaccess] Accessible cricket game for the PC

Hi all,

Apologies for the cross-posting.

I've no idea if this will be of interest to anyone on the list, but what I
believe is the world's first accessible audio cricket game has been developed
for the blind.

It runs under Windows, and is a simple simulation of a Twenty20 match.

The game is self-voicing with realistic sound effects, and it comes pre-loaded
with several international teams. You can adjust the playing strengths of the
teams, as well as add new ones.

I've beta tested it, and despite its simplicity, it's a pretty good game with a
lot of replay value. You can either play against the computer or against a
human player, though you can't at this stage play against people online.

I hope the developer will add features to the game in future iterations to make
it an even richer experience, but even if he doesn't, the game can hopefully
serve as a proof of concept for others to get into the development of
accessible sport games.

You can download the game from

http://www.spoonbillsoftware.com.au/bgtwenty20cricket

I should say that Internet Explorer gets in a bit of a tizzy when you try and
download the file, because it isn't commonly downloaded and it's worried that
the file isn't safe. When this message pops up, press alt n to get to the
notification bar, press tab until you find the "actions" button, press space
and tab until you find the button that lets you run the program.

The game has also featured on the most recent episode of RNIB's TechTalk
podcast.

Cheers,

Ed

[Audyssey] audiogame hub and other news

2017-02-01 Thread Shaun Everiss

Hi.
This is just a brief message to say that http://sonnarnews.wordpress.com
is the new blog.
and sh...@audiogamehub.com is the new address for reporting feature
requests and bugs well one of the ways anyway.

You can still use my gmail address.
I finally got a business mail.
For a few of you this means little, for some of you this means a lot.
For those of you on this list and audiogames.net its business as usual.
For those on applevis I am seriously thinking about retiring my space
from there, the thread is almost static and now I have the blog in place
I may just stop posting there.
In brief sonnar continues to test for new games coming soon though when
that is who knows.

Audiogame hub is being discontinued or at least the current version is.
To continue the opperation of the company and all that junk we are going
subscription.
No price list is available just yet but you can buy 1 month or higher
subscriptions,in 1 3 6 12 or lifetime blocks.

This can be for one game outright or several in a pack or the entire pack.
Schedualed release will be for pc and android only.
Once these go out it will go to apple but that takes 2 days for that to
happen unsure how long it takes on android.

Anyway everything is on the blog this is just a friendly reminder is all.

2017-02-01 Thread Mike Wassel
So news for those of us that pledged for the whispering tunnels game for
ios? Does this mean we're not getting it now...or what?

Hi.
This is just a brief message to say that
http://sonnarnews.wordpress.com is the new blog.
and sh...@audiogamehub.com is the new address for reporting feature
requests and bugs well one of the ways anyway.

You can still use my gmail address.
I finally got a business mail.
For a few of you this means little, for some of you this means a lot.
For those of you on this list and audiogames.net its business as usual.
For those on applevis I am seriously thinking about retiring my space
from there, the thread is almost static and now I have the blog in
place I may just stop posting there.
