I finally beat mission 2 today, not too long ago! Yay! Now time to move onto mission 3! You should always be looking to build more houses as a general thing, once your population reaches a multiple of four build another, and carry on doing that as often as you can. You can speed up the process by making lots of your people into builders and letting them all work at once. In terms of raiding, if i remember correctly your better off with one big raiding party rather than several small ones, since they do more over all damage to the yetti, indeed as I recall I once defeated them with five knights, five soldiers and three rangers, though at that point I think my general population was in the thirties. all the best, Dark. --- Gamers mailing list __ Gamers@audyssey.org If you want to leave the list, send E-mail to gamers-unsubscr...@audyssey.org. Re: [Audyssey] I'm finding Castaways mission 2 really hard. Any suggestions?
I'm thinking of just restarting from the beginning with mission 2. I really need to build up the number of people I have, and stuff as many as possible into being soldiers and knights and rangers. I had 28 people once, but I think I need more. The yetti kill about 2-3 people per rading party I send out, and I've never sent more than 4 at a time, as to keep a soldier or 2 at home to deal with the goblins. Hi Ari. guard towers aren't as much a priority and won't help you against the yetti, just against the goblins. The way your military forces work is that they'll leave your barracks and attack the closest lot of goblins, then after each attack, return to the barracks before going out again. A guard tower however effectively moves where your military come back to, so you can build guard towers closer to the edges of the map and get so mean your military units have less far to go before attacking goblins and so can kill more. for the yetti, you just need lots of units to send out on raides. hth. Re: [Audyssey] I'm finding Castaways mission 2 really hard. Any suggestions?
Nope, your forces will attack goblins by default but the yetti are effectively off the map and to attack them you actually need to send your forces out on a raid, check which key in the readme, (It could've been ctrl enter but as I said I've not played the game for quite some time). I forget whether you need the war tent specifically or enough military units. also you probably need more soldiers, since remember one knight is as affective as five soldiers, indeed if I recall correctly you need at least five military units to send out a raide, again check the readme on the specific conditions for raiding since it's what you need to do to beat the yetti, raide them before they can raide you and destroy their military potential. all the best, Dark. [Audyssey] I'm finding Castaways mission 2 really hard. Any suggestions?
As the subject states, I'm finding the second mission of the Castaways game incredibly difficult! It seems no matter what I do, the yetty always whipe me out before I can really get my band of people stable. It took me quite a bit to get mission 1 down all right without my people getting trounced by the goblins or starving to death while getting trounced by the goblins. I'll start a new game and see what perks and faults I've picked.
