The book is in audio book format from the National Library Service. I know
this to be true, because I have read it. If ya'll are talking about the
fantastic beasts and where to find them that book as well as Quiddage
Through the Ages is on audio format through the NLS and that is the only way
tthat I have found.

Is there any other formats out there for the book besides brf?
I don't have Openbook or Kurzweil as I think they are way over priced. I
use Omnipage or Text Bridge, and they don't support brf.

cool!

It's not that I have anything against braille, it's just that I can't really
get braille books sent overseas to me, though this is certainly not the case
with audio books (I'm reading Wheel of time from the Libruary of congress
right now).

As to getting it in this country, I could give a long wrant about the
British government that gives no subsidies at all for accessible literature,
and the charaties who produce 90 percent of the accessible books aimed only
at people over the age of 70 (lots of romance and detective fiction, but
very litle fantasy), but wranting is bad for your health so I'd better not
engage in it.

Let this site substitute for my wrant:

http://www.booksbeforewedie.com/

Anyway thanks Phil, I'll see about getting it imported as soon as I can.

(Btw, this is one of the reasons I'm considdering getting a job in the
states when I've finished my Phd).

 Spoiler,

According to the COS book, Myrtle says the knob does not work.
You need to use a password and luckily Sarah knows how to speak with
 snakes.
Didn't you realize that in the demo you could understand what the Basilis
 said?
I do have to add a new way for her to get out of the chamber.
As for the Basilisk still being alive, I think the one Harry fought has a
 mate!

Before opening up the chamber though, you need something that will help
 you
 in fighting it.
As a matter of fact, there are three ways to defeat the Basilisk in my
 game.
But that information will only be forced out of my petrified hand.
There are clues to all three ways in the Chamber of Secrets book.
The one I like the best combines two magical concepts that even J. K.
 Rowling did not consider.
The first part of that clew comes from the FANTASTIC BEASTS, AND WHERE TO
 FIND THEM book.
David says I should get a royalty for generating more Harry Potter book
sales after my game is released.

Is the fantastic beasts book accessible in any form, as far as I know
 there
isn't an audio, and sinse it's a graffic novel, I suppose it wouldn't

I was also rather disappointed that the Harry potter lexican are

(I will admit, my views on book accessibility are rather strong).

[Audyssey] Sarah was Dark is Baaaack!

2007-01-06 Thread Thomas Ward
Hi Phil,
Lol! it sounds like a nasty bug you have there. At any rate I am excited
to see Sarah 1.0. I am waiting on the edge of my seat. Tell her to hurry
up so she can come visit my house. Large grin.
From the manual I've read I am excited to visit more than just the
ground floor, and I want to, well, explore the entire castle. It is most
likely on my wish list to buy in 2007.

Phil Vlasak wrote:
 Hi Dark,
I was hoping that Sarah would be out the door before Christmas, but it seems
she wants to stay at my house until I get all the bugs out of her.
First I tried a quick bug spray, then I dumped her in a bath tub of rade.
I kicked her out the door and locked the door behind her but then she climbs
 through the window.
Then I take away her key to the door and she goes out and makes another key.
So now its up to David to put a barrier up so she can't come back in.
These are clues to the game bug that has me pulling my hair out and losing a
lot of sleep the past two weeks.
I did take time yesterday to update my web site with the new games released
 after New years day.
 http://www.pcsgames.net
I note at the top of my home page the date a new game goes up on my
fantastic games list to make it easier to search for them.
Because sometimes I'm too busy to move the new games to the top of the list.

 Hi Phil,
Let me guess. You turn the knob on the sink, and a door opens up letting
you enter the Chamber of Secrets.

To prove I'm a complete Harry Potter saddo, If I remember correctly the
 tap
wouldn't turn (moaning murtle says so to Harry), and you need to speak
Parcel tung to get it open.

though as a guess Sarah probably doesn't speak it -- h, I better
stop here before I give away the solution or Phil might be coming after me
 with a big stick.

Of course I could be completely wrong, but sticks are scary so I'd better
 stop just on the offchance.

2007-01-06 Thread Phil Vlasak
Hi Tom,
Spoiler,
space,
According to the COS book, Myrtle says the knob does not work.
You need to use a password and luckily Sarah knows how to speak with snakes.
Didn't you realize that in the demo you could understand what the Basilis
said?
I do have to add a new way for her to get out of the chamber.
As for the Basilisk still being alive, I think the one Harry fought has a
mate!

Before opening up the chamber though, you need something that will help you
in fighting it.
As a matter of fact, there are three ways to defeat the Basilisk in my game.
David says I should get a royalty for generating more Harry Potter book
sales after my game is released.
smiles,
Phil

Sounds great!

Is the fantastic beasts book accessible in any form, as far as I know there
isn't an audio, and sinse it's a graffic novel, I suppose it wouldn't
exactly translate.

I was also rather disappointed that the Harry potter lexican are
specifically withholding information contained in that book to make people
buy it sinse the proceeds go to charity.

(I will admit, my views on book accessibility are rather strong).

Beware the Grue!
