You have to keep visiting the lair and playing through it every day. I do't know what the magic number is but if you keep doing it you will eventually be able to take the shield. Just bear in mind that A. You have to be level eighty n Waponry in order to use the shield and B. you have to spend general experience on it, both to level it up and keep it from melting. From the description of the shield though it sounds well worth the effort. I haven't gotten it yet but I'm working on it. It ain't pretty when the pretty leaves you with no plae to go. J.D. That's not clear, and in any case you won't be able to use it until after you get the shield. The current theory is that the item is the glittering ice shard you get from killing the Frost demon, and the name of the shield seems to back that up since it's the Glittering Ice Shield. Once youget the shield you can go to a safe location and use the ice shard to see what happens. I can't confirm it yet since my character isn't quite to the point where she gets the shield.
