[Audyssey] Ten Pin Alley question

2012-05-20 Thread Jordan Gallacher
I am running Windows 7 64 bit after my Windows 7 32 bit computer had some
problems and I replaced it. I now get Runtime Error 76 everytime I try to
launch Ten Pin Alley. I would like to know if there is a work around for
this, and if not, is there another bowling game out there that I could look
into. I miss that program and would like to either get it working again or
find a different program.

Thanks,

Jordan

Well, yes on your questions about the bowling games.
First to fix the issue with Ten Pin Bowling you will need to go to
www.kitchensinc.net and download the winkit file and that should fix the issue.
Second here are two bowling games that I know of one is by vipgameszone
it is call Funny Bowling and the second one is by vifit it is call vibowling.

Hope that help you out.

I haven't heard of vibowling. I've been looking for bowling games for the
blind that are serious challenges, and might check this one out. A good one
for I devices would be cool as well.

[Audyssey] Ten Pin Alley question

2008-02-02 Thread Bryan
Hi all,
A while back I posed about recording more names for Ten Pin Alley, but lost
the replies and have since forgotten how to do it. But now tat I've got my
registration key I'd like to try it again. Could someone please refresh my
memory? I know that in order to make the game Vista compatible certain
rearrangings had to be done, namely the location of the names folder. I'm using
XP if that's any help, and i haven't found anything. Any help would be
appreciated

Re: [Audyssey] Ten Pin Alley question

2008-01-03 Thread Phil Vlasak
Hi Bryan,
Adding your name to Ten Pin Alley
The names are recorded in mono,
Sample rate: 22050
Bits per sample: 16.

You can record your name and add it to the names folder inside the Sounds
folder in the TenPinAlley directory
which is inside the Draconis Entertainment directory.
. You must name the file using a name like fn117.wav. The FN stands for
First Name, and you have to use a number from 117 to 200. If you use a
lower number, the name will be deleted by the names that come with the game.
The game comes with 116 names but can support up to 200.
Then you must go into the sounds folder and find
names.dat
you have to open it into a word processer program.
You may have to rename it
names.txt
then add,
117
to the top line
Save the file as a text file,
then rename it back to
names.dat
This should put your name at the top of the list.

Subject: [Audyssey] Ten Pin Alley question

 Hi folks,
I remember hearing at one point that it's possible to record your own
name in Ten Pin Alley. I understand about how the file name has to go in
sequence with the other, but is there a particular format the files have
to be in? I tried recording my own name once and it didn't take, so I'm
wondering if i did something incorrectly. Any help would be appreciated.
BTW, does anyone know whatever becae of that stereo review that Charles
recorded of the game a few years back?

Re: [Audyssey] Ten Pin Alley question

2008-01-03 Thread Draconis Entertainment

Adding to what Phil said, there's one change to this procedure with
the update to Ten Pin Alley released a couple of weeks ago. Some
files needed to be moved around in order to support Windows Vista.
The names.dat file now resides in the user's Application Data folder,
in a subfolder called Ten Pin Alley. In Windows XP, the path might be
something like:

c:\documents and settings\Phil\Application Data\Ten Pin Alley

...if the user who is logged in to WIndows is named Phil. In WIndows
Vista, the path will be a bit different, but will be located in
something like:

c:\users\Phil\App Data\

HTH.

2008-01-03 Thread Raul A. Gallegos
A bit more to add to this to be assured of the correct path. When you
are logged in as your own user you could use the application data
variable which is the word appdata surrounded by two percent signs.

%appdata%

Then all your application data will be displayed.
