[Audyssey] another kitchensinc games question

2011-11-25 Thread Laurel
Ok Gentlemen,
As I said in my last message, I got it to work propperly! Yay!
/smiles/ I just have one more set of questions for you.
I go to all programs, kitchensinc, and hit enter and I see my list of
games under kitchensinc games. I see "life" there. So then I go to the
website and I download a game. I hit run, and it works. Then the
computer asks me if I want to unzip into the c:\program
files\kitchensinc folder. I say yes because I'm not sure where else to
put the files. It unzips it and says it works. So I close my window
out, go back to all programs, kitchensinc, kitchensinc games and hit
enter. I pull up my list of games and I only still see "life." Where
are my games? I believe I'm running the 64 bit one not the 32. Thanks
guys. /smiles/

Re: [Audyssey] another kitchensinc games question

2011-11-26 Thread Thomas Ward
Hi Laurel,

On 64-bit versions of Windows the games need to go into the
c:\Program Files (x86)\Kitchensinc
directory. The standard
C\Program Files
directory is specifically reserved for 64-bit apps only on Windows
Vista/Windows 7.So if you install the files to
c:\Program Files\Kitchensinc
they are in the wrong Program Files directory.

Re: [Audyssey] another kitchensinc games question

2011-11-26 Thread Laurel
I got it! I realized that the mix up was probably happening because of
my 64 bit operating system, so I figured out how to fix it, and I love
all the games! My favorite is football. And monopoly. /smiles/ :)

Re: [Audyssey] another kitchensinc games question

2011-11-27 Thread Thomas Ward
Hi Lenron,

DirectX 8 is a standard Windows component and ships with Windows XP,
Windows Vista, and Windows 7 by default. That said, the Visual Basic
component, DX8VB.dll, no longer ships with DirectX 9.0C, DirectX 10,
or DirectX 11 simply because Microsoft no longer officially supports
Visual Basic 6 on Windows Vista/Windows 7.

Cheers!
