Re: [Audyssey] entombed---first shot

2009-10-06 Thread Ryan Strunk
Johnny,

I'm not sure if the wiki is up or not right now, but there should be a
manual there. In the meantime, press the period to go downstairs and the
comma to go up. Some of what you're hoping for will be waiting for you down
there.

The pet has always been a dog/wolf, though I imagine this will change out of
alpha.

As for identifying things, press the X key when looking at an item. The
identify scrolls are actually for items that are listed as unidentified such
as magical swords.

The sound of bumping into the walls changes depending on which wall you're
bumping into. If you try to go right and can't, you'll hear the bump in your
right ear. Ditto for the left.

Good luck,
Ryan

Ok, can't find the darn helpfile, so had to go without it... Very nice game,

a bit mud/text like and the sounds are good.
My thoughts are as follow:

1: The sounds of creatures may be separated from the reading so they don't
run over one another.

2: When encountering enemies, might be nice if the game announces what is it

I'm facing before rather than after I select an action.

3: More pet options might be cool, like if instead of a dog, I want a wolf,
a tiger, heck...a dragonling?

4: Be nice if we can direct our pets more...I was so frustrated when it kept

going for the fighter rather than the shaman as I would rofl.

I noticed sometimes you can hear the sound when bumping up against the edges

of the maze, and sometimes not...not sure if that's a bug.

I'm not sure if what you wear/wield make a difference too since the id
scrolls don't seem to want to work on those items like tunics and swords.

Another suggestion is the ability to control maybe a multi-charred party,
like a group of five, with more enemies at once and more exciting combats-
plus the abilities to pick the actions/stations of your team members prior
to combat like, set the mage to stand back and just heal, and have the
fighters up front to take hits, etc.

I'm currently stuck at the stairs...it says there's a stairway near by but I

can't seem to access it...any help?

Thanks, found the wiki eventually...and now on my way to the third level.
Anothe rproblem I notice is the spawning of enemies for this game...if you
stay in one spot and just wait, all the enemies seem to spawn there and then
the rest of the level is empty rofl.
I tried jsut walking around the stairway a few time, and like 8 groups of
enemies came up, and afterward, I pretty much didn't run into anyone else on
level2.

No one ever kicked ass by saying I can't.

Each floor has a finite number of enemies on it. If you kill all the enemies
on a given floor, you can walk around without encountering any.
